Armywags has been going now for over 3 years and the site has grown from strength to strength. Not only do we have ArmyWags but we have separate forums for NavyWags and RAFWags - although most of the fun goes on in ArmyWags main forum.
Lots of friendships have been formed and some of the girls regularly meet and get to know each other in person.
Whether you are dealing with your man being in Afghanistan, or you are worried about moving to a new posting then ArmyWags is the place to come to. We can help you deal with separation or give you advice on where you are moving to as well as helping to point you in the right direction of who you need to speak to when it comes to problems with your quarter or which is the best school for your kids!
Maybe you are lonely and need a friend, someone to talk to or cry with. Our girls are great and there is always someone on hand to chat to - someone who is sure to make you feel better.
Being married to, related to or, going out with someone who is in the forces is not an easy task and sometimes it feels like no one understands how you feel. After all if you are a girlfriend or a mother whose son or boyfriend is on active duty it can be hard to deal with all the emotions that you are feeling when no one around you is in the same situation. Who tells you how to send a parcel or even what is good to put in a parcel? Who is there to tell you that it is normal to want to cry - or that it is normal to become obsessed with the news?
This is where Wags comes to the rescue. There are help and advice forums as well as links to sites such as SSAFA and Homestart where you can get professional advice. There is also lots of fun and laughter from girls sharing the silly things the kids do to having a giggle about sex and life. ArmyWags has it all and if we don't, then just ask and we will always try to help.
Sadly there have been some sad moments over the last years too where we have supported some girls through illness and the death of a loved one, even divorce and betrayal! On the other side on the coin we have had babies born and marriages and some fantastic friendships formed.
If you are feeling in need of a friend who understands then pop in, say 'hello' and before you know it you'll be one of the family!
We can't wait to meet you!
