Hi everyone,
I joined a few weeks ago but haven't had a chance to get back on here and introduce myself properly. My name is Rebecca and I live in Maidenhead. Look forward to chatting to you all a lot more - had fun reading through the various forums, made me laugh lots.:D

Cool where in Maidenhead?
My boyfriend is a Bio Medical Scientist and part of the 16 Close Support Medical Regiment based in Colchester. Been together for nearly 6 months now. He's in Afghan at the mo :( It's my first time dealing with a tour so any advice girls would be really appreciated.
Oh forgot to say that I'm 26, I work with children age 5 -11 at the mo, organising sporting events, family support etc. Am hoping to start a degree in September in Sports Science.
im turning 26 in july, god another year closer to 30!!!

So what's it like only seeing your man at weekends? Is it better then MQs? X
yeah and no. i miss him so much in the week and it gets lonely not having him here after the weekend. always having to adjust to seeing him one min nd gone the nxt. but then again i get to watch wat i want on tv and don't have to put up with xbox and footie!! o there r pros and cons!! so where did u meet ur fella?x
hey, im Helen, been with my oh 2 years.... he in iraq at the mo. first tour there, tho i am used to him being away a lot but this time its sooooo different. looking forward to chatting with you. this is the place to be, everyone is so nice and helpful. xx

Im 21 and i live in Wirral, im studying to be a nurse and my fellas in Tidworth!!! He's a chef!! Ive been with him for a year on Sunday yay !!!! Thankfully he's not going to Afghan until next year!!! How are you coping? xxxx

Cool, I'm doing alright today, first few days I found tough. It's my first tour so it's all new to me. Chatting with one of the other girls, her man is away for 7months - I realised that I got it easy!! My man should be back in August. Although we're not really gonna have much contact for most of the time.

I'm new to all this too, only discovered the site a few weeks ago and have found it great reading everyones posts and its great to know that what you go through, there are other women going through the same thing too. I'm 23 and my OH is in Afghan at the moment. Another 3 weeks and I have done half the tour !! YIPPEEEEEE

Yippe you heard from him. I am quite fortunate as I get to speak with my OH quite often on the MSN, but get a phone call once or maybe twice a week if he can. Thing is with it getting warmer over there it seems to get busier so as it really gets into summer I have prepared myself for less contact as I know this can be the case.
But great news that you got to speak to him.. hang in there hun, we will get through it !

I am 28 and have only been with my OH for a few months he is in the RE im Woodbridge, just down the road from your fella and is about to go on tour to Afghan.

Hi Wecome to Wags, my names Stacey I'm 21, my oh is a sergeant in the REME and is also currently in Afghan, its our first tour as a couple. Took me about 6 weeks to get into it properly, now I'm just plodding along and wanting it to be july! :)
