Hey everyone! just discovered this existed and i think it's a really great idea that people who are going through the same stuff can talk to each other with ease. I just had to join lol anyway i am a newbie and my sort of boyfriend is in the RAF. That sounds weird probably so i'll explain...we met and decided we really liked each other not long before he went away for 3 months to afghanistan so haven't had much of a relationship yet, so now just emailing each other basically every day whilst he's out there really. I can't wait for him to get back tho and it's only a couple of weeks now woop woop. I realise some of you are experts in this field as you've been at it far longer than me so any advice on anything would be very well accepted. Also what do you guys find to write in your emails and letters and things everyday to keep them interesting? cos i'm really worried i'll just run out of things to say soon or repeat myself lol thank you guys x

Welcome to WAGS, I'm Lucy, my OH is out in Afghan at the moment and just stuck at the airport waiting to get back for RnR... fingers crossed I collect him today.
Sounds like you have a lovely blossoming romance developing, it will be fantastic when you finally do get together.!! I also find that when I write letters and blueys that I repeat myself. But it can't be helped really. I think try and put funny stories in that you have read or the odd joke here and there, that can make it more interesting. I also send my OH interesting facts as he loves them!!

welcome to wags. im sarah, my fiance is in the falklands atm, due hoem in 48 sleeps! wooop woop.
i tend to repeat myself alot in bluey and emails, i dont realise im doing it half the time! lol. i just tell him things thats have happened that day, things ive been doing, let him know what our mates are up to. etc.

thanks for all the welcomes and nice replies. everyone seems so lovely and i look forward to getting to know you all a bit more. Also thanks for your advice with the letters, glad i'm not the only one to feel like i'm repeating myself and being boring lol and using jokes and things is a good idea.
