Hello!

I am so glad i found this site!! My boyfriend is about to leave to join the RAF and i have so many worries going around in my head, like will it work out, will things be the same. We've been together for nearly 2 years and we are always with eachother, and we've only ever spent one day apart!! So, im gonna find it so hard when he leaves. He's told me that he's gonna find it more hard than me!! But, because im a big big worrier, iv been really worried. And it'll be nice to chat to you all about how im feeling, cause none of my friends understand it! I am looking forward to our life together though.

Any advice on what to do when he's away?

Welcome to WAGS, I am also a RAF WAG.

Try not to worry unnecessarily, even though it is easy to do and I am sure most of us on here are guilty of the same thing. You will get through any separation and it really makes you appreciate the time you have together.

Take care,
Veronica

I hope so, Im really looking forward to moving in him though, its exciting!! :D

As long as you find things to keep busy time will fly (even if sometimes you think its not!lol)

Routine is THE key, it can involve all sorts, chuff charts, countdowns on here, writing eblueys, writing blueys, putting together parcels, taking up a new hobbie/class, etc.

I thought this tour would take forever and while admittedly sometimes it does feel like its dragging I know I will get there and its flying past quicker than I think :)

H Kate, welcome to WAGS! I'm a RAF WAG too, boyfriend joined last month and is doing Officer training at Cranwell, where is your boyfriend going to be?
I've found that the time goes really quickly - I've taken extra hours at work, and seeing my friends a lot more which I love. It's also put some extra sparkle into our relationship and made us stronger than ever - I'm sure most of the wags will tell you the same! xxxxx

Hi, CharliePixie. My boyfriend will strart his training at RAF Halton and then he's going up to Hampshire for 22 weeks. He should be finished roughly on the 27th May 2009. Im looking forward to seeing friends, and maybe doing a night class or something like that to take my mind off things! xxxx

Hello all. I was just wondering does anyone know what will happen when your OH has finished their training, do they get to choose a few places where they would like to be based or are they told where there based?
