Hi, I've been registered at this forum for quite some time now, but I never introduced myself.

I'm Fairy, and no I'm not away with the fairies, I just got the name of the washing powder I use and thought that would be an excellent name.

My boyfriend, surprise surprise is the army and I have to admit, I do find it a bit hard from time to time. Sometimes I am really fed up with training or idiotic long days that he has make and when we speak to each other on the phone, all he can say is "I'm tired".
Or there are the days that he apparently is really tired and falls asleep and forgets to call me. Or those army trainings that are in the middle of nowhere, so I can not reach him for a week, as his phone has no signal.
Which I truly find annoying. This furthermore puts, from my side, strain on our relationship, as I sometimes really do not understand something or am completely baffled by his routine as he seems to find everything army related normal, and all I can think is huh?

So, I am hoping to find on this forum, answers: are there more women annoyed by this all? Will I ever understand his routine? And how to deal with times when you can not reach him, but you really need to hear his voice or to ask him something, of which you know he will definitely know the answer?

Questions? Just ask!

Thank you! One question though: what does "oh" mean?
I am rather puzzled about this abbreviation.

I have been with my boyfriend for a year and a half now.
I hope it is alright that I do not disclose information about what regiment he is in as it is a rather small regiment. You never know, things I might tell in the future may get back to him.

Thanks everyone for welcoming me!

At the moment, my oh (now that I know what it means, I might as well use it) is on another training and I miss him so much.

I haven't seen him since June and I have no idea when I will be seeing him again. When he had his leave in August I could not see him as I had to work and this training will last for three weeks and I'm going home in two weeks and now I really don't know when I will see him. His next leave is in January and to be honest, I really don't think I can wait that long.

And of course he could come over, but that would be ,in my opinion, almost impossible as it would mean that he has to book a flight and although they tell him that he can have a weekend off, it has happened that, at the last moment they change that and give him a weekend off the following weekend.

Oh, besides that it is difficult enough having a realtionship with someone in the army, being foreign with a boyfriend in the british army is sometimes confusing and so on. (I think I need to open a topic for this)

Sorry, I really needed to get that off my chest, as I feel really frustrated and sad at the moment.
