Another new army girlfriend

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this site. Been with my oh for 8 months now, we got together just after he came home from Afghan, and he has just found out he's off to Iraq next March after thinking he was off to Kosovo and I'm panicking already! Lol

He's in rece plt Royal Anglians based in Pirbright, is anyone elses oh based there? I live in Norwich which is 3 hours away and he manages to come home most weekends, but I only know 1 other army girlfriend, so most of my friends don't quite know what it''s like being away from there bf most of the time, the longest we have been apart is 3 weeks and he's off next month for another 3 week exercise which i'm dreading, not sure how I will cope when he's on tour next year!

Sorry to ramble on.

Hopefull I can meet some nice army wives and girlfriends to chat to and learn a little off.

My boyfriend is also with the Royal Anglians at Pirbright and he has just had Iraq next year confirmed to him as well - sucks, right? He is also off on exercise next month and has just found out he's going on a week's diving course as soon as he gets back, grr.

You've totally come to the right place for help and support and quite often a good giggle as well, the girls here are amazing and have so much good advice to offer. I know it's hard when none of your friends understand your situation, so feel free to rant and moan on here as much as you like!

Im Lindsay, I have been with My oh for 2 years and we have a son of 1 he been in the army a year now he was originally based at pirbright, then larkhill now he is at Tidworth,

Currently in Scotland at the moment for 3 weeks tho he only has a week left now, he on exersise,

Just writing to say that all us ladies here will always help, and we all know what your goin through and how you feel, I just about managed to get by these 3 weeks without my oh and not hearing some nights, but when we look back we realize somehow we can get by and that we will be with our partners again soon
