Hey guys.
Found this place by acciendent but will be spending the next year on here. As ater that My soldier is leaving the army!! yay!!
We've been together 5 months nearly, got engaged last week, it's my 18th in 2 weeks and he leaves for Iraw the day after my 18th. Gutted.
Dreading it, but plodding through to be brave for Charlie.

hi hun, welcome to wags, my oh is going to iraq in about 2 and a half weeks, its our first tour together (he's been on load of tours though old git haha). i'm a bit scared, but he's based in germany so we're used to being apart. anyway hope u enjoy the site, all the ladies on here are amazing xxx

aww dont say another tour after this one our lads have bin told thheresno more iraq after telic 13 iraq priminstr wants them out ... oww got me thinking now hope there isnt xx andrews going to dose ure OH go november
well that's what i thought but some girls on here have said their lads are planned to go on telic14/15...so I dunno. Yep off in a couple of weeks, i'd prefer him to stay in Iraq rather than Afgan but who knows what will happen!

i got told last week whilst out on camp that this is the last tour of iraq and becuz of that the troops mite be there for an extra 2 months!!! iraq's calm now. everyone is going to afghan

There are no plans to withdraw troops out of Iraq for the forseen future. As far as i know, there are plans for a Telic 14 to follow 13 and a 15 to follow 14 so for the next couple of years at least, they're still going to be sent over there.

Hey hun there have been a lot of articles in the press over the reduction in troops in iraq that is due to happen in spring 2009, we will just have to wait and see though!!!! My OH is due to go to iraq next spring too. Well I hope you enjoy the site!!! Look forward to chatting soon xxxxxxx

There have been many rumours going around for weeks, including an extended tour, and them withdrawing before the end of op telic 13 tour. Ive now heard both from my OH who is in Germany and off on Op Telic 13, and on here. Until things r confirmed by the army im taking it all as rumours.
As for not withdrawing for a few years........... its gonna happen and its gonna happen soon, there will b the odd few left out there training the Iraqi's up but no proper force. Op Telic 14 and 15 have to be put into place to cover their arses incase they need to go in............but they can easily b cancelled.

It looks like my o/h is going to Iraq about the same time as well hes based in germany at mo (just on way back from exercise in Poland), wheres your o/h based? could be going to same place
