I joined the forum but have just seen this is a place to post if my "man" is in the army. My girlfriend is in the army. Is everyone welcome or just people with men in the forces?

Forgive me if I'm being dense :D It's something you will have to get used to if I am able to stay.....

Crack on I say. i know theres a few sites like this where they will just not allow men on and I think thats really selfish. Female wags are in the norm so I think it would be unfair to tell a bloke to bore off.

Welcome anyway. :)

I'm an old hand at the army WAG thing. We have been together for 3 years, she was in the army for 11 years and just got out 6 months ago and is now loving life.

I saw there is a lot of new WAGs here and thought maybe I could share my experiences. I know I would have loved to have had someone to share experiences with. It can get pretty lonely at times but now she's all MINE MINE MINE :D

Sorry, are you male or female?

The whole idea of WaGs is Wives and Girlfriends, so you're more than welcome to join if you're female as you'll be classed as one or the other. As if you're male then i doubt you'd find much reason to be in a forum full of women.

I'm 100% female

Yup, definitely female.

Sorry, i had to ask lol. I hope i've not offended you.

Although saying what i have, there is nothing against a man joining the forum if he was looking for support but i think he's be very much out of place seeing that 100% of the members are female.

Welcome to WaGs, sorry my introduction was a bit to the point but i've never been backwards about coming forwards lol!!

Enjoy the site and no doubt you'll have valuable advice seeing that you've been in a long standing relationship with a member of our forces.

I'm not offended in the slightest :) I know I'm a woman but I forget using "de intrawebs" it's not in plain sight for everyone to see and fair assumptions are made.

I've been having a look around and it's lovely here. I was a member of an American board once and had to leave after 2 days. The huge number of married 16yr old irked me. I'm easily irked it seems.:p

Bl00dy hell, i'd be thoroughly ashamed if we didn't welcome gay people! I mean a chap with an army girlfriend is also welcome as far as i am concerned but they might have felt a bit out of it in such a female-centric forum.

And as you are an old hand there are plenty of ladies on here who are sure to benefit - I know I spend half my time running round in circles going "wtf does that mean, what do I do, what will happen with this?!"

So tell us about yourself - obligatory first question being, of course, what regiment etc was your OH in? :D And what do you do yourself? [yes i am a nosey weasel...]

Yes it's true, we are very lovely here! *curtseys graciously* We have quite an age range here and there are a few younger wives but also plenty of older (and not married) types as well, such as me - I'm 31. Although obvioulsy I don't look it.:D I certainly don't act it!
