i am very well thankyou :) my story ?? well im in a relationship with a gorgous squaddie and i stumbled across this great online support network!! he's just finishing his phase 2 training atm and im very new 2 wagdom, and i struggle with the fact i dont see much of him, but i think its something im getting slightly more used 2, and the ladies on here are ace with supporting words :) much love xxxxxxxx
Well im 20 and live in bristol, my boyfriend of nearly 6 months is currently doing his training, im so proud of him, but struggling with not seeeing him, but cant wait till he is settled somewhere and i can move in with him xxxx

My story...Here goes.
I'm Emma I'm 18 and I'm a student.
My OH (Todd) is in the Royal Navy based in Plymouth on a big dingy. (trust me this thing is a massive ugly grey metal lump in the sea...Awful)
I met my Toddy in a club over Christmas 2007 and we pretty much spent every single waking moment with each other on his Christmas leave. Since then it's been a HUGE learning curve for me trying to get used to actually missing someone becuase I've never had to miss anyone before...Except my mum when she went on holiday for 2 weeks without me (bitch lol)
Anyway, we got engaged on the 15th of August and he is my best friend and I love him with all my heart.
I'm proud of him for what he does and I every time I see him I still get that butterfly feeling in my stomach!
I love this site, even though it's had its ups and downs I think we'll get there in the end. The support on here is amazing and I've met some friends I don't ever see myself losing and look forward to meeting and supporting more wags.

hiiiii , my name is samantha , im 19 years old im at leeds uni doing law , its very difficult but will pay off in the end!! ive been with my soldier for 3 years now. ment him in october 05 got with him january 06 .. ive been with him through out his whole army career ... through all his basic training .. hes been with me through my GCSE's , my alevels and now my uni degree. he is currently in afghan and has been there for a good 4 months now. cant wait til end of tour!! going mad without him now!! im nora, im 18 and have been goin out with my 1rha gorgeous jase for 2 years and 7 months. we met through msn, spoke for a year on the phone, txt and on msn then met after that, and my mummy came with me :)
erm and i bore everyone with the fact that im joining the army myself too :D i love army life so much i want to be part of it myself. I got deffered at my first selection as i am too skinny so i have to put on more weight to have another go this year. Hate bein skinny so much, but ive just got to keep on keeping on!

I'm sarah, 20 (21 in march :D lol) been with oh for 2 years. We met properly for the first time xmas 2006 when a mutual friend brought him to my friends xmas party. We kissed, exchanged numbers- talked everyday for about a week, went on a proper date, and he asked me to be his gf! Quickest I've ever got that close to some one, but I've never looked back! xxx

yea, i just cant put it on, my doctor will refer me to a nutritionist when my next weigh in is due if i dnt get any heavier cuz its slowing my career down :( xxx
My story well...
I'm Cassidy-Loren, im 18 from mansfield near Nottingham and im currently at college doing a btec national diploma in health and social care level three which will then lead on 2 uni as i want to be a learning disabilitys nurse. Me n my oh danny have been togther 2 years 1 month and we met randomly. Danny is based in northern ireland, is currently on a promotion course and is due to go to afghan later in the spring which will be his and my 2nd afghan tour togther. I got with danny a few months after he had finshed his training. I love him with all my heart and have never regretted it, not a huge fan of the army i have to say bt i get by x
im katie-louise im 19, 20 soon :) i am engaged to a gorgeous sexy soldier who is in the army and he is based in germany he is currently in iraq..i am a full qualified nursery nurse and work with 1-2 year olds which i love!! moving out as soon as oh gets bk from iraq in may cant wait! xx

My oh Matt is currently based in Tidworth, which is certainly alot closer than Canada where he was last.
I live in Dorset but born in London. Am doing my a levels atm, biology, chemistry and english lit. Absolutely hating it but hanging in there lol.
I love this site and all you girls but will miss you if Matt decides to leave later this year.

Im 19 have been with my gorgeous OH for 14 months. We met randomly at Waterloo station after he'd finished basic training. Friends first then love blossomed. I have a 2 year ol from a previous relationship who my OH adores and calls him his own. :rolleyes:
My OH is in tidworth, whilst im in dorset im a nursery nurse working with 3mths-14month old babys. Waiting to hear if ive got accepted into nursing college.

Hi im hannah, living in scotland atm hoping to move to the midlands before the end of tour i've been with my oh Matt for just over a year and its been an eventful year full of ups and downs we are currently expecting our first child 23-24 march and got engaged christmas day.
Hes currently based in aldershot with the welshguards and currently getting ready for his and our first tour in afgan in spring.
I was joining the army but have had to put that on hold due to the pregnancy and will probably have to change my career plans as its not just about me anymore, so atm im hoping to start a degree in criminology and look at joining the police.

I'm Rebecca-Louise, and i'm also 16 nearly 17! so i'm young too!
i've been with my OH Matthew for 10 months now, and i've just had a really upsetting day! Found out that there is a huge chance that Matthew could be going to Afghanistan in October, and then to make things worse he said that he wasn't sure if we should carry on in a relationship with me :(. To my relief, he called me later and told me that he was just being stupid; but i'm not really sure what to think.
Matthew and I have known each other since we were 11, and went to secondary school together. We have always had that special something, as he was my first true love at 11 years old! hehe
Currently, I'm in sixth form, studying Performing Arts, I.T, Physical Education and Product Design. I hope to go to theatre school in London, or study performing arts in Northumbria Uni or somewhere! Another possibilty is going in the RAF, as a Air Traffic Control Officer, not sure if i'm tough enough though!
Matthew is training at AFC Harrogate, and is in the Grenadier Guards, he was going to be in the Royal Corp of Signals, but for some reason he changed his mind!

Had our first tour together and expecting the next one to be spring next year :(
Hoping to get married on the 5th of september this year and moving down there by end of year (finger crossed)
atm im at 6th form just waiting to get the all clear on becoming a pcso!! xx

My first post on this site, as i'm a newbie, although been reading the forums for a while! Didn't have the courage to post until i found this under 21's bit! That gives it away then, yep i'm under 21, i'm 17 in fact, and i'm Katie, or preferably Kate or Kates.
I hail from Yorkshire, and my oh is based in Kent, in the Royal Engineers. We've been together since August last year, when he was based in Yorkshire for a while. He's 19.
Finding it strange being away from him, much like everyone else i see! Going to get worse though as he's off to Germany. I'm stuck here at sixth form, studying law, sociology, public services (yes i get to look at men in uniform for 4 hours a week!!) and business. I'm currently learning to drive so that i dont have to spend so long on trains to see my oh. Although i just failed my test last week for speeding :S I want to become a PCSO, and then a police officer. That sounds really good when i just admitted to speeding!
Anyway, nice to get to know people on this post!

heyy girls. well, i'm eighteen and i'm called becky as you will have guessed! i'm currently finishing off my a levels and hoping to go to uni in september to study law. leeds is where i want to go at the moment but we'll see when i get my grades. i've worked at clarks part time for nearly three years now which is slowly drivin me insane!
anyway, i met joe when i was fourteen in summer 05. he had been planning on joining the army but was a little young at the time. anyway, he signed up after we'd been together a couple of months and left in october 06 for his basic training so we had a good year together before army time. he drives in the RLC. anyway, he's been in the army two and a half years now and we'll have been together four years in summer. he is a huge part of my life and is my true best friend. i know i was young but i honestly believe i have loved him from day one! we are so right for each other and i honeslty can't see myself ever being with anyone else! his four year contract finishes around the time ill be leaving uni so we're hoping after we've got our own stuff done, we can start a serious life together and i really hope to marry him one day!
he's in afghanistan at the mo, leaves in march and home early april. then two months leave. can't wait! :D

I'm Jo and have been with my lovely soldier for only a short amount of time, however it was one of them situations where we had known each other for years before. So we already knew each other inside out and it sort of fell in to place. The fact that he is in the army makes it hard but the weekends when i get too see him are amazing. My loved one is based in Cyprus at the moment :( Any tips for keeping your relationship happy from a long distance?
We both are still young, I'm at school studying for my A levels, and hoping to go to university but i don't know how that would work with him, but I'm so happy with him, absolutely besotted. :D every moment with him when he is home is so good, we never argue, but when he is away we have silly little arguments because we hate being away from each other.
I'm so glad to find this website because my friends don't really understand about my relationship with Ollie because its very different to their own.
Would be great to talk to some others going through the same thing as me.

Im Holly and im 19 been with my bf for a year and 4 months. he's in the air corps and has been in the army coming up to 4 years now, even tho he has the option to leave i dnt think he will (he signed up for 22 years! its like a jail sentence lol) so have kinda resigned myself to being an armywag for a very long time, tho i feel im the only one here who isnt engaged! lol . He has mentioned about proposing before he goes off to afghanistan which i would love, kinda think it would be a good idea to keep it secret from the parents tho as they would say im too young :(
Im quite lucky in the sence that i have friends who comfort me whenever im having down days but seeing them out with their bfs does get to me sometimes. I suppose the way to keep a long distance relationship going is communication. altho mines not that far away hes all over the bloody country most of the time so keeping track of him is difficult, but we text and call everyday and i find that helps if im feeling down. ive always said that if your serious about a relationship and each other then no matter the distance it will work. (well thats what i keep telling myself :p lol)
Even tho im not entirely happy about losing him for 4 months im incredably proud of him and know he wants to go to war so i'll support him all the way :)

Im at college doing my last year of a course in Beauty therapy. I am finding it hard with my oh being away and my best freind is also a soldier but it makes me soo proud of them!

Thank you Holly it helps to know other people go through what i do each day, we are also lucky to be able to speak each day as well, i get texts and calls so it still makes me feel close to him.
I do feel like a bit of an out cast on here as well because I'm not a wife or engaged but, we have thought about it even though we are young. I am so proud of Ollie as well. Where is your boyfriend based at the moment? Its good though because I'm close with his family, we are going out in July to visit him in Cyprus :)

Its definately a plus when you get on with the family, luckily his live about 10 mins away and im always welcome round theirs. well i say get on with the family, the only one i dnt really get on with is the grandma who, when she first met me, said "oh so your the other one!" then turned to my bf and said "i thought u were a Soldier not a Sailor!!" great start eh?! lol
So how does it work when u visit him in cyprus? are you able to stay on base or do u have to stay in a hotel?

Hi ladies well iam 18 i been a member on her ebefore but havent been able to get on for ages my oh is 27 dont worry iam 19 in a couple of months so it ent that bad i live in wrexham as it says andy is based in tidworth at the min and we r engaged and hopefully going to be moveing in together when he get out the army on resetlement in july which means me moveing to scotland :eek: lol
How strange Holly just before i read that comment from you i just been organising to go out and see him. Well I'm going out on a 2 week holiday in July with his family and we are staying in a hotel down the road from him, but there is a chance is April me and Ollie will be able to rent out one of the available marital quarters, that would save me a huge amount rather than paying for a hotel. It turns into a very expensive relationship, but it worth every moment i get to see him. :)
No I'm not sure I've heard of middle wallop or Wattisham where are they lol? How are you going to fit moving around a job, because thats the only problem i have with moving with Ollie at a future date, is what to do about a job? What company in your boyfriend in?
Oh dear about his Grandma, bless her, i suppose you can't please everyone, I'm sure after a while she will get to know you properly.

Well Middle Wallop is in Hampshire and Wattisham is near Ipswich and Colchester, it all works out well for me because my dad lives so close that he's offerd me a job looking after my sister, just got to find a part time job around that :) were u thinking of moving in with him in cyprus or somewhere else? I know of a company called SAFFA who help girlfriends/wives/families who are looking for jobs or housing so you could always go to them for advice and help, they have a website which you can check out :)

Hi i'm Kirstie i'm 20 (21 in October), my oh is 21 (was 21 in feb). we have been together this time a year, last time we were together 2 years. We got engaged on valentines day and want to get married as soon as we can so we can live together but i have a career which is one of the best around meaning i could earn a hell of alot of money as soon as i'm fully qualified, so kind of putting everything off at the min. My oh has just left this week to go on tour in Iraq and on his 1st night his base was under attack!!!:( so i'm very worried about him at the min especially with it being out 1st tour.
My oh is based in Paderborn, Germany and its very expensive for me to visit him. It cost him £700 to phone and text me as he would normally in the u.k so cant talk to him that much and i miss him loads :( Hope to get to know some of you guys alot better and become friends as we all need to stick together!!
I joined this site on the recommendation of my mum-in-law to be who is a army wag too hehe xx
