Hello ladies

Hi ladies my name is Jay i'm 24 (soon to be 25!!) and my hubby is in the navy. Was based at Culdrose in Cornwall, but is currently on a ship for the next 12 months.

we got married on xmas day in Las Vegas so i'm a very new navy wife!!
My hubby goes away in Feb on a 6 month tour (in one way i'm really lucky cos he isn't going to Afgan) but really not looking forward to it as it's the longest he's been away for while we've been together.
Hence the reason i joined the forum. I want to be able to have a moan to people who understand what i'm going through. My friends hubbys all have 'normal' jobs so they just don't get it.

Anyway, hope you're all healthy and happy and i'll look forward to speaking to you soon

Hi Jay

My other half is also due to deploy in Feb, sounds like it could be the same trip - he's Navy but based in Plymouth. I live in Redruth, a little older that you (40) but I know how you feel when everyone else has a partner with a '9-5' job - it can be tough.
Are you planning a trip out to see him during the deployment - thats always something to look forward to.
