notice of marriage...

woohooo i just done it. went down to the registry office today and got it done. so thats sorted just need to do my oh's now.

i've been having so much trouble trying to figure out how to do his, coz he's based in germany but needs to give notice in the uk and his dad lives in lincoln so he'd have to try and get there to do it, but he doesnt have proof of address there. they told me today that if he lives at mine for more than 8 days he can do it at mine so long at someone in the household writes a letter to confirm hes been living here for a minimum of 8 days. so i need to hope and pray he'll get some leave!!! so fingers crossed for me ladies!!! xxx

We met the vicar on saturday and are having the same problem, she didnt know whether he needed to get his bands read in Germany or Jersey!! So bloody confusing!! We dont even want to get married in that church lol xxx

giving ur notice of marriage is such hassle sometimes, especially if u don't live together! luckily he would come back to mine wen he isn't on camp so it does help. fingers crossed for u babe! xx

yeh we're using a registrar from a different district. usually u get ur bands read/notice of marriage where ur from or where u live in the uk if ur british. so my oh should do it in lincoln, but if he stays here with me (which he does all the time hes home anyway) he can get it done here. its such a pain in the arse!!!

Ahh good news hun and fingers crossed :)

me and oh had same problem sort of, he was born in Germany so we had to order a new birth certificate off this website then cos his parents live in Alfreton and me Chesterfield he has to hand in his notices in Ripley cos he has no proff of address at mine, i was like argghh but i rang earlier and sorted it all :)
