Hi,

Im a newbie and just thought i'd say hi. My fiance is in the navy and he's just been posted to naples for 2 and a half years and I had to stay behind living on my own in cardiff far away from all my family and friends. He's only been away about 3 weeks and i've been crying for most of that time :(

We've only been together about 7 months and he's never been away so this is all new to me, the whole navy life and i dont really know what its gonna be like etc.

Anyway, hope everyone's well.

Hiya Jo welcome to wags hun the same thing happened to me and my oh we ahd only been together 6 months when he was posted to NI for the same time hes now in Cyprus for another year and a half it hard hun but it does get easier too you just have to try and get on with things while hes away I know its hard but we are all here to help you in anyway we can ;)

Hi Jo, another newbie here. My oh is in basic training, first time we have been away from each other in 5 years :O.
I have gave my self some short time goals to reach for him comming back and longer goals for the 32 weeks he will
be away. Like loosing some weight and toning up, learning
to drive so i can pick him up from the train station when he comes back instead of his mother!
Try and keep busy and remember he loves you and hes doing this for the both of you :)
