View Full Version : Finding it hard to cope..
Hi everyone!
I'm Teresa, 23, and my boyfriend is currently at Cosford, but will be moving to Scampton on Sunday. There are a million questions that I have for you guys - and frankly, I wish I'd found this site sooner!
My first thoughts are that there girls on here with problems a lot bigger than mine.... and so I feel a bit like a drama queen!
I have a 4 year old son from a previous relationship, which my other half loves dearly. I was at Uni until January when I quit because I thought it would be easier for him if we could move with him. We've been together for nearly four years, and have had our problems but have always been able to work things out... I just feel like I'm in Limbo, still miles away from him, and now NOT working towards my career. HELP!!!

hey hun welcome to wags this site is a god send and all the girls on here are totally amazing I dont think Id cope without it lol so where do you live then ?
my oh is on his phase 2 training as a PTI at cosford, i live in somerset which is about a 2 hr drive away which isnt too bad, but...... on sunday..... hes going to Lossiemouth in Scotland!!!!!!!! luckily were getting married in june so il be going up there after that but still got the next 3 months to get through!!
weve been together for 6 years and have lived together for all of that apart from the last year hes been training, and its been a real rollar coaster. one minute im happy and excited the next im crying cos i miss him so much. i think its normal though hun :)
so r u planning on moving with him when he goes or do u live close anyway??
this site is amazing so just come on here to vent!
the last year, at the begginning i felt like how am i going to get to march?! and now his passing out parade is tomorow, gone like a flash.
so have u both talked about the future and wots going to happen?

aw hun I know its hard my oh is based in cyprus for just over a year but it does get easier honestly it does and you can always book a house on patch so you go and stay there to and they are lovely houses and there is a train station in the cosford camp so its easy to get to ;)
I have no idea what patch is!! He's going to cyprus for a couple of months next month
sorry the family patch hun married quarters there are houses always kept for family to use while they visit me and my oh always use them they are quite cheap to for a fully furnished house too. my oh has been there nearly a year now which camp is he gonna be at ?
I can't remember! how bad is that??!! We are not married though, and that's really getting me down too, because I feel like I'm nothing! you know? I'm not his wife, or his mother! and it's just getting me down because it seems like it would solve a lot of problems x
lol my oh has been there how long and I still dont know what his camp is called lol:rolleyes: hun I know its really hard but you have to try and not think like coz it drive you crazy an get you really down it will get easier hun
You're right, I wish I could, it comes on in bouts, some days I'm fine, but others I can't get my head round x
I know hun I still have days like that every now and then but we are always here for you you can always pm me too if you need to chat
Thanks everyone, I'm so glad i've found this place, I feel like there's a weight been lifted from me! I'm overjoyed to know that there's people like me, wanting to share happiness and sadness together... And if I can return the favour, for anyone, just let me know. You guys seem really close, and I think I'm addicted already!!!!!!

hi , just thought i would send u a quick reply, me and my husband have been at scampton for 3 years and are finally moving away in 4 weeks to staxton wold, scampton has great facilaties for ur little one, there is a school on camp and loadsa kids lol. it is really daunting having to make such a big decistion about the rest of ur life but im sure u will make the right one hun!!! X im from middlesbrough too and the journey for a commute is so easy:) dont take ong at all X
