Joined a few weeks ago as I wanted to find out more about how the other halfs cope whilst their partners are away before I decided whether I could cope dating someone whos job is a soldier. We have been texting loads for a month now and after doing loads of reading, i've decided I can and so we had our first date the other day :D He must have liked me and I definately liked him coz we are off out on another tomorrow woohooo. The downer is he is off to Afghanistan later this year but I accepted this date with this knowledge, sooooooooo lets see how it goes from here :)

its definitely not easy being with a soldier- but its worth it when you get them home! relationships are much stronger and you tend not to take eachother for granted so much. the women on here are great and we all help eachother get through tours etc :D

As Stacey said, its definitely not easy but everything gets appreciated so much more! I find we hardly ever argue and I dont take any time we have together for granted :) and then theres the uniform haha!...
