well my wedding is back on and now i'm in a rush because its the 21st august i have most things done but getting stuck on wedding music. for the service the traditional here the comes the bride etc, but does anyone know what there having for the signing of the registar? or if people are like me and having a religious ceremony what hymes you'll be having?
so far i have rod stewert have i told you lately but not to sure on it for signing the reg. xxx
I found this really hard! I had a civil ceremony in a hotel and eventually chose the following:

were having a civil ceremony, and weve got a string quartet who are going to play when the guests arrive (a selection of classics) then Canon when i walk up the aisle, and then frank sinatras 'moon river' when were signing the register. Then theyre going to play the trumpet tune when me and oh walk oout. One of my friends is an amazing soprano singer, and is going to sing 'Lakme Flower song' as an individual piece during the ceremony (bulk it out a bit!!) and then the string quartet are staying to play for an extra hour after the ceremony whilst the guests have champagne and canapes and we all have the photos done.
Can't wait now!!!

I'm going to have the organist play as I enter, hymns during the ceremony and for the signing of the register I think I'm going to make a CD of songs that have special meaning to us and have that played. :) x x x
im having the bagpipes playing flower of scotland as i walk down the aisle but apart from that dunno about the rest :) xxx

I'm having pachelbel canon and gigue in d major for the processianal music
bah air on the g string for signing the register &
handel arrival of the queen of sheba for the recessional music!
well so far i have canon d major for guests entering
bridal chorus from lohengrin by wanger for me coming in
hymes!!! i'm kinda stuck i dont want to be singing about how jesus died on my wedding day so i have 'all things bright and beautiful' and 'give me joy in my heart' but dont want to feel like we're all back at primary school lol. so if anyone knows any nice ones that the vocals arent as high as the sky let me know lol

we werent sure what to have for a first dance either so we;ve ended up with a otis redding these arms of mine (if you've seen dirty dancing you'll know which one) its not really a wedding song but its the only song that means something to us its always been ours so we decided on that one. do you have a song that you both like? or that means something special to both of u? xxx

i'm having here comes the bride for walking down the isle and the wedding march for walking out. we're just having the venues own classical music for signing of the register!! OMG, i have 6 WEEKS!!!!!!! its really creaping up. haha. xxx
oh and for the first dance, we've changed our song. we were gonna have "it feels like home" but my ex friend introduced me to that song and it reminded me too much of her. we're having something that means so much more to us which is unchained melody, but the leanne rhymes version. xxx

were having Jack Johnson, Better When Were Together for our first dance, its our song. i know its not your typical first dance but its so special to us.

oh yeah you're getting married the day after me!!! you getting excited/nervous etc yet??? i seem to be like a kid on xmas eve atm lol.
i love that song. we're not having the "normal" first dance. my oh is self concious about slow dancing infront of everyone so we're having everyone up on the floor dancing with us!!! lol thats our little compromise xxx
lol! my hubby was self concious slow dancing in front ov everyone but I only had a very small wedding, didnt want any fuss or expense whatsoever, all i really wanted was my pretty dress and that first dance so there was no compromising on the dancing lol! he was fine though and my daughter joined in with us half way through! We had Lonestars Amazed and it was fab, one of the things that still really stands out from the whole day xxx
ive found a song that i would like for our first dance ave maria by beyonce its such a beautiful song,
though having our song (come home) would be nice but doesnt really fit for your first dance.

Ah thats a lovely song. There are so many. We do have a song but its certainly not a slow dance one. Its a really silly one by Kate Nash. We might play that one when the evening reception starts. We like Beyonce Halo. My OH is dreading this bit cos he hates dancing. Lol xxx

They'll definitely fit in our wedding when we finally get off our bots and set a date!

Ours will be "All my life - Kci and Jojo" because it has an us story behind it so is definitely our song, then an assortment of stuff that we like :) xxx

I'm having "Nulla in mundo pax sincera est" for walking down the aisle (if you've seen the movie "Shine" it's the song played right at the end) but that's as far as I've got!
OH is really not keen on having a first dance at all but I imagine if I do manage to drag him on the dance floor it will probably be something rocky or maybe Jack Johnson. Though he does have a thing for Dr Hook... Hmm, must get on iTunes and do some research!
