:eek:im gettin wed on 13th june, woo hoo! its a reli low key, simple (like me hehe) wedding, jus family & bestfriends. the main stuff is all done thankful, jus the little things now, like favours?! i have no idea!! plus my best mate is my only bridesmaid, my only sister let me down (:mad:) and i have no idea where 2 get her a present for being my bridesmaid, i want something extra special as she is also doin my hair & make up! i couldnt have asked 4 a better best friend! ne ideas where i can get something? plus what the hell do i do 4 favours? we have quite a few children goin and i thought of mayb doin a goodie bag 4 them? what do u lot think? when Oh was asked he jus mumbled, men!! lol. ne help or suggestion would be GREAT!! i think thats everything, if theres nething u can think of that would be helpful, please letme know!

studio do some nice personilised gifts for bridesmaid, getting personal also do nice gifts.
as for the kids we have champagne bottled bubbles on the tables to keep themselves entertained lol
you must be soo excited has it sunk in yet

OH doesnt want them blowing bubbles while we're eatting & it would be far 2 tempting 4 them not 2! lol. it has & hasnt sunk in?! that make sense? because we already have the same surname ( smith! loads of us) i dont reli have that excitment of changin my name, ill jus be MRS smith, instead of miss. the only weird thing will be livin 2gether properly not jus at wkends. OH says it wont change us much, we're both as mad as each other lol. i think as it gets abit closer itll seem more real. i sit sometimes and think, s**t ill be MARRIED!! b4 i know it, itll be here. i have so much goin on in the mean time, itll fly round & now im panicin abit writing this........breath in......out.......in......out:rolleyes:

Hey hun,

First of all favors - if you dont want to do them, dont do them. If theyre going to cause too much hassle its not worth the bother. But if you do want to do them, I know the cheapest thing but cute thing you can do its love hart sweets in little net bags and in a box.

But i didnt botherd - and no one noticed!

As for presents, my bridesmaids, I got a watch each for, and my little one a lil winnie the pooh neclace. Stuff like that you can keep. Maybe a boquet of flowers aswell for doing your hair and make up!

I bet your so stresed at the moment aint you hun!! Mine didnt sink in until I was having my hair done, then I made my brother go fetch me Cherry Lambini cause the nervefs started!! haha

there a place that does favor boxes for kiddies hun igot it in a weddin mag from when i was lookin at stuff for mine i can have a look for it if u want hunni they might be able to to favours for others to not jsut kids but iam not sure

i am very stressed, work is reli gettin to me and mite be movin into MQs around the same time!! lol. oh well all the stress will be worth it when im wit my oh! it hasnt sunk in yet, ill probaly be the same on the day. at my bestmates wedding it didnt sink in she was gettin married til the we were about to walk into the church (i was bridesmaid) i went from giggles 2 tears in 30seconds, so im hopin not to be the same on my own day lol xx

i wouldnt stress to much about favours hun everyones half trolled by the end of the day anyway lol. although if you do want them i would have a look and see what kind of thing you would like but DONT buy them. have this as a plan B then as the weeks go on look out for bargians specially closing down sales but if you cant find anything you've got youre plan B you can go out and buy upto hours before the wedding.

i done this and picked up 50 love heart shaped piller candles with gold beads on them, there lovely and because it was a closing down sale haggled with the lady and got them all for £15.

have you looked into kids entertainment? we were gonna get a clown that made animal balloons and things to keep the kids amused for the speeches. also the first reception we seen had a side room that they were gonna let us take our own x box, ps2 and wii, they were gonna throw a couple of tv's in the room to keep the older kids occupied because a wedding does get long for them poor mites. xxx

hey laura, did you manage to sort everything out??? i'm getting married in about 4 week eek, lol, so kinda know what ur going through. i made my own favours, got the boxes from tescos, they do a small wedding section with things like invites, bubble etc, and found some perfect little favour boxes. i went to hobby craft and bought some stick on red bows to go with the theme and stuck them on and got red foil hearts to put in them. to be honest favours arent too much of a big deal, so wouldnt worry too much.

for my maid of honour ive got her a links on london braclet, but i'm worried she already has one. but its got a heart on it which i'm gonna get engraved. argos do some nice little bits too. i got the other bridesmaids gifts from there. good luck hun and let us know how u get on xxxx

Aw glad you got everything sorted out hun!! How exciting now!!!

I know you are not doing favours but thought I would share what I suggested with my friend and it went down well. She had little boxes and inside bought a £1 lucky dip lottery ticket for that nights draw (as it was a Saturday) and a tiny packet of love hearts....

I know a couple people won £10 that night and it rasied a smile all round!

everything is more or less sorted lol. stressing abit not enough money now 2 pay for meal, but trying 2 sort that out. not doin favours now lol, dont need that stress. ive managed 2 find my friend a nice me 2 u bear, she collects them, hold a picture frame saying thanx for bein my bridesmaid. im guna get her sum flowers too.
i cant wait! 11 days to go, sounds bad, but i cant wait 4 it to be over & done wit lol & we can get on wit married live. im even gettin excited about movin into MQs aswell!

glad its more or less sorted. i think we're basically sorted now, we're stressing about the same as you really, the money. stupid oh was supposed to give me £500 last month but the idiot went and spent it so we're £500 short now, which isnt much, but i'm all credited out and dont think i'll get more and oh wont so will have to ask my dad.

i know wot u mean about getting it over with, i cant wait for the day, theres just so much to look forward to. its just the build up and the stress of it all. xxx

grrrrr men! we r about £200 short & wit the wedding next week i dont know how we're guna cum up wit the money! my side of the family have helped all they can & his havent even offered & they know we r havin trouble! :mad: they drive me mad! oh is tellin me not 2 worry, but im so stressed! i have a chest infection 2 top it all off!! grrr lookin 4ward 2 the 14th june lol x

laura, i have the exact same problem. my oh was supposed to give me £500 last month (we've been putting in £500 a month each, even though he earns more than me and has less bills) he didnt transfer it over and i kept texting him asking him if he had it. he said he'd do it when he come home. he came home and guess bloody what. he didnt have it. so thats £500 i have to find now. cant get anymore credit from my bank so i'm a bit screwed. i'm so mad at him. of he'd told me sooner it wouldnt be so bad. now i cant afford to go out for my mate bday or anything. grrrr :mad:

so i know how you feel hun. hope u manage to sort it out. not good about the chest infection either, hoep you get rid of it soon. not when u need running up to the big day ay xxx
