how are we all finding being single?
i have been single now for about 3months now and only just starting to enjoy myself.........i am loving spending time with my friends and family and feel like i neglected them whilst i was with x........and i seem to have invites to parties and nights out more too!
Im still gettin used to it all Ive only been single about 3 an half weeks lol but Im sure Il get there my friend is already trying to set me up on a blind date lol
Hmm I'm still not sure if I like being singled out for being single (haha) but anyway... I'm an ex-wag, been single for about 7 weeks. Last time I saw my oh we were still together (we split on the phone lol) and I may be seeing him for the first time this weekend as he's volunteered to replace my break pads for me!
I'm enjoying being single- rediscovering the fun of making new friends and being my own priority. I've had a lot going on in my life since the split, mainly worries about my job, so not been a good couple of months really- but hey life goes on! xxx
Oh and I'd like to add, after being in a relationship for 2 and half years it is odd adjusting to being 'alone' but all my friends seem to have renamed me "Sarah she's single" when introducing me to single male friends... haha... but to be honest meeting a new bloke is the last thing on my mind- I'm far to busy being all about me and not having to worry about when I can do what and when I have to make time for some one else!

pretty much the same happened with me an my oh last time I saw him I thought we were happy together an then about 3 weeks after that he decided to finish things over the phone to which I thought after 4 an half years together I deserved more but hey ho

i guess you know when you are ready to start dating........get some details though off your friend, you never know in a few weeks/months you might just want that blind date!!
I'm enjoying singlehood but don't plan on settling here for too long. I've been on dates (including a blind date with a blind man, who I liked, but in the way I like spaghetti bolognese), but not with the same person more than once. I'm happy with that tbh, as if we're not going to hit it off spectacularly then there's no point in flogging a dead horse is there.

I have my eye on someone but my problem is that i can really like someone but im only comfortable with them whereas with the ex everything was there. passion, romance, comfort, everything. With all the other guys theres no fireworks...more like sparklers lol
I just never 'fancy' people, never have done really, except a couple of people who turned out to be boyfriends!! Although some guys (my ex for example) when I met him I thought he was weird, and it wasn't until we went on a proper date I realised I was gonna fall for him big time- which had never happened to me before!
Before my last relationship I was single for a year, and I had a couple of 'boyfriends' but nothing I saw as serious, and to be honest only really did it for fun not because I cared about them... so I see myself being single for a long while... but it's a good thing because I enjoy it :D xxx

I finished with my ex in september, called off teh wedding and everything. Basically he was cheating and a complete liar! Cant blame post tour! as he was just a pure twat lol

Well that's just like asking why so many people haven't split up... it's just part of life isn't it?
I don't really like being known for being on here because I have a failed relationship with a soldier which is why I'm not keen on this ex-wag section, I wanna forget about the split not keep being asked about it.
I aint really fussed about people askin me to be honest for me and Rob I do think its a post tour thing but even if it is I have always dealt with the distance but I wont ever put myself through distance and doubt if that makes sense I do still love him an a part of me always will but I think we are better off as friends.

i'm not sure about this to be honest......i would like to think not really and that a tour will bring couples closer together!
at the time i split with my x it did cross my mind i must admit, but i have since found out lots of things that i didn't know about him and i just think he doesn't know how to treat women and have a loving meaningful relationship! I feel like he was living a double life that i was oblivious too and probably would have still been oblivious to if we were still together! xx

Haha after i watched army wives i went to the pub and bumped into my ex. His new woman gave me the evil eye but he looked shocked to see me and i swear i saw a glint of how he used to look at me. I had to laugh because i was meeting another guy lol. Fair enough the guy is a very close friend but he doesnt need to know that. I think hes had a meeting with mr jealousy and that was with by seeing me having fun. Dont you just love it when they think they are the ones better off with the new life and then realise you have moved on too and your not sat crying in a corner. lol i feel so smug right now that he finally realised im not grieving anymore xx

Hi I'm single. Ex broke up with me over the phone while out in Afghan. I was gonna wait till he gets back in November to try and sort things out. But he's being such a pain & I think trying to hurt me that I've decided to just get on with life. (Things like talking about coming back to the UK for a week but then saying he's gonna go away with his ex before me for a couple of days, but only as friends before I jump to any conclusions.) Anyway, it's great to be focussing on myself and not be waiting around in case he gets in touch. xxx

Lisa- I'm unsure how far along you are but I really think you'd be best off telling your ex sooner rather than later. Even if he has annoyed you, this baby is still part his and if you're unsure of what you're going to do yet surely that is your main priority.... I really feel for you as all this stress must be awful.

i know that for the best money wise and stuff it is best i get rid of it. especially if im going to uni. but now its there and its sunk in a bit then im having doubts. im going to tell him when he can come near me without yelling at me about the break up. if he can be mature enough to stand and listen to me then he will find out. i will keep trying but i know what he would want anyway because we discussed it when we was together. I will get it all sorted xx
