Oh and I discovered last week how easy burgers were to make from scratch  simple, you know exactly what goes into them, and when put on the griddle (or a george foreman grill) very low fat!

We chose turkey burgers and they were absolutely delicious :D so much so we're making lamb burgers this week! (oh insisted lol)

This is the recipe we used last week for the turkey burgers:

http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2528/thai-turkey-burgers

And this week we have used the same method and have used the following ingredients:

400g lamb mince
2/3 tbsp mint sauce (not diluted)
1 lge red onion (finely chopped)
Salt & pepper to taste
85g Breadcrumbs
1 beaten egg
1 tbsp sunflower oil

Give it a whirl, the best bit is you can use whatever ingredients you like, when we have them again (not next week! no matter what oh says) we're thinking of beef and jalapeno's.

Sounds great! I agree...homemade everything always tastes best...you can taste all the flavours, and the best thing is that you always know what's in the food you're eating because you've added all the ingredients yourself :) xxx
