hey people,
just thought i would say hi and introduce myself. Im emma and i live down south and my partner is just about to go away for 5 months next wednesday.....not really sure what to expect whilst he is away as only been with him 5 months but guessing its not going to be too pleasant....anyway be good to make new friends and chat with people alike etc....take it easy.xxxx:o

nice to no im not the only one going through this and there is so many people on here just like myself....im really hoping the next five months fly by.....anyway im from dorset south coast..not sure if u no it??? when are ur fellas back?? what shall i expect..are the first couple of weeks the hardest or is it like u say thenb good and bad days throughout...
ahhhh i was being soppy and made him a scrap book to take away with loadsa memories and stuff in it and came across this poem...think its so suited to how we all feel about our partners going away....have a reasd..its lovely..

my oh is back for R&R at the end of this month, his tour is 6 months altogether it was going to be 8 but they cut it down. the scrap book is a lovely idea hun and it will be nice for him to have that over there. like i said you get your good days and bad days. the first few weeks were the worst, but you have to keep busy like andrea said and it does help, its the key to passing the time. you will get to hear from him as wel hun, he will get to call you, you both can send letters and you can send him packages, they love getting mail. when you hear from him it will feel so great and when you see eachother again it feels amazing.
i dont watch the news or read the paper as it can put you down, keeping focused on them coming home and the future helps me get through it. you'll get through it hun, and we will all be here for you.

been thinking alot about the timne when he is home and how weird it will probably be seeing him again after not seeing him or anything for 5 months...so excited.....lol he not even gone yet....what am i like.....been building myself up to this for so long that im making myself ill panicking about him going....but i was independant and bringing my daughter up before he came along so i can easily sort myself out again when he has gone!!!!! as it happens i only see hi9m weekends at moment and if im lucky i might see him during the week so in theory im only not seeing him for 20 times..lol how sad am i....think tho its just like the whole text thing..every morning i get a message and before i sleep i get a text...just nioce to no he thinking of me and i suppose its routine and now i got to find a new one....
anyway waffled far to long thanks guys for reading and supporting...
