Hi girls!
I'm going to visit a bridal shop for the first time this afternoon and just wondering what to expect really.
My best friend is bringing her camera so I can stick the pics in my wedding folder for reference (I am monica from friends when it comes to organising haha!! :p)
I'm quite nervous but very excited at same time! I'm just clueless about how to go about it all and wondered if any of you have any tips/advice for a first-timer lol!
Like this might sound a bit dim but will they have most dresses in stock so I can try them on today, or does it not work like that? I'm so confused! Just dont want to seem like an idiot when I get there!!

there will be dresses in the shop for you to try on, the people working there will prob ask you what your budget is and what kind of dress you are looking for (if you find one just over your budget they some times knock the price down for you :p)
you will get to try them on...the dress you pick may not be your size but they will just stick pins in for now probably so that you can see what its like.
if the dress is a designers you may not be allowed to take photos...designers rights or summit.
have lots of fun trying them on!!!
Just try loads on, and have fun!!!! I only ever tried 4 dresses on, and the one i chose was the third one i tried on!! xxx
tip 1 say calm lol its all very exciteing i went on my own aswell when i went so it was alot harder for me tip 2 ask there advice if they are a good shop they will help u by looking at ones that they think will suit ur figure and height and then that can help u pick ur style and i dont think they will let u take pivs of the dresses hunni i wasnt allowed in the shop i went in untill u pay ur deposet becase they dont want u basically going and gettin it copyed.
oh yes and wear something cool so ur not boiling becase its hard work takeing the dresses on and off lol. big hugs hun so happy for u and excited hope it goes well

i went yesterday afternoon but they wouldnt let me try any dresses on without an appointment (even tho the shop was pretty empty and they were open for another hour n a bit :mad:) so im going again later today, appointment made for 3.30.
i had a good look at some dresses and found 4 that i really liked and for the right price :) but the woman i was talking to said i should try different styles on too in case something i hadnt considered looks stunning, so im going to be trying on many many dresses later!!
never thought of covering my bum up with proper knickers! iv got skimpies on :eek: im in liverpool city centre in the office today, should i go and buy proper knickers??
got my sister coming with us tonight too so im very excited! x
Awww have fun hun!!!!! I remember when i went trying dresses on, i didnt have 'proper' pants on! But then i dont really have a problem with flashin mi bare @rse anyway lol!! xxxx

tried 6 dresses on and think iv found the 1!! its a little over budget but could stretch to it (wanted to spend max 700, this is 799 so not huge difference) - just thought id show you lovely ladies the number 1 dress so far coz im so excited!!!

jus need to do a bit of shopping around to see if i find it cheaper. i really liked the women in the shop so would like to get it from there but she said if i find the same dress cheaper anywhere else then they'll beat it - so find it cheaper i will!! :)
It really is one amazing dress, totally something I would pick :) Yeah if you can find it cheaper I would lol its always nice to buy from someone who is nice. Oh and did you have your big knicks on? Or was it the skimpies lol

my friend helped me in n out of the dresses and the woman fastened and unfastened backs - so worked out ok!

The dress is gorgeous hun - you'll look stunning.
I can't wait to go dress hunting now - am waiting till after OH goes to Afghan as think it will be a good tonic.

im going dress hunting tomorrow. im excited but scared at the same time. i just hope i find something that i will like that isnt too expecive.

i went dress shopping today and i think i have found my dress already. i have found 2 but there is one i like more then the other. it is so nice i couldnt stop smiling!!! it was the frist dress i tried on, i was so happy wearing it i didnt want to take it off!!!

I go on about this site loads, cause i was chuffed to bits when I got my dress from there hehe x
omg i love you! theres only 1 thing that puts me off tho, it says the embellishment is beading, whereas the actual dress i tried on is covered with crystals so it proper sparkled - dont know whether it would look a bit poo covered in beads :confused:
