non-army best man!!

hi!
im gettin married this next year and my OH will be wearing his blues & he wants guards of honour.. BUT the best man isnt in the army.. (theme of wedding is white & navy!)

so my OH and the GOH will all be wearing their uniforms what will i get the best man to wear?? Im scottish so my dad and brother will be wearing kilts but his family are english so i dont think it would work having them in the same.
i dont want the best man and usher to stand out too much in the photos. The bridesmaids are in navy dresses. do you think a navy suit will be ok??

haha im gettin stressed help mee :) - doesnt help OH is in afghan at the min and im tryin to plan all this myself!!

anyone else been in a similar situation.. what did you do? any photos?? hehe

Ihavent been it that situation myself or know anyone that has but to me I would do a navy suit seems the best option that way he wont stand out too much and will go nicely with your bridesmaids.

My OH is in No 1's but ushers and BM are going to be wearing hired navy suits. I think that is your best option as the bridesmaids are in navy. Any other colour would maybe look out of place.

Whooo wedding sooooo exited!!! I say go for the navy coz it will match! To be honest... noone will notice coz all eyes will be on you in ur stunning dress :D

I think a navy suit sounds perfect and maybe you can get him a tie that co-ordinates with your colour scheme as well so he look part of things. If you don't have another colour in your dresses/bouquet/decorations etc. then maybe something that picks out a colour in the uniform, like something with red if they have red stripes down their trousers.

Wow sounds like our weddings are gonna be very similar!!!!!
We're getting married in Jan in Scotland and OH is wearing his No1s and everyone else is in navy suits, chief bridesmaid in navy and flower girls in ivory so it all co-ordinates......Hopefully!!!!!! We even got ivory and dark blue flowers (which are being dyed specially)
My OH in Afghan to so doing it all by myself!!! Its hard work isnt it??

Hey my husband was in one's and his best man was in two's so not the same and then my ushers and fathers were in navy suits and my bridesmaids were also in navy and my flowergirls were in ivory with navy sash's and i thought it look great. (Also my grandad was in a kilt :))

My oh will be in 1s, but he has 2 best men, one army and one non. So the army one is wearing 1s aswell, but the other one is wearing a suit to match our dads, then the ushers are in 2s :)

aw that photo looks fab! im totally not stressing about it ne more.. i think my OCD musta kicked in. Its all gonna be fine lol iv turned into a right bridezilla lately!! everything is all organised now (cept for the suits haha) but just need my man home safe & sound n we can get it all finalised properly! thanks for ur help girls :) xxx
