View Full Version : notice of marriage
so on monday i have to go and see the registrar and all that, the thing is oh is not here and wont be for some time so will i still be able to sort every thing out with out him being there???
He has to also give his notice of marriage, but you can do it seperately, me and my Hubby were going to...but you could book his appointment for him forwhen he gets back. Or you could cancel yours and re-book it so you can go together when he gets back, thats what we did in the end. Make sure you take EVERYTHING with you! He also needs to give his notice in the district where he has an address, hubby used his mums so we could do it SHeffield...if he'd given his address on camp he would have had to give his notice in Wiltshire...does that make sense?!?! I'm sure that's what the registrar told me anyways.
oooooo it's so exciting, I loved doing it, it was like we were really properly going to get married then!! Enjoy it (even though it's only filling in a form!!!)

Yeah i had to do the same, go do my notices then Mark did his whenever he was back xx
thank youuuu
i will do mine first then to get at least one of us sorted lol then when oh gets back he can do his, is 3 months before the wedding not too late for him?
also will we get the time of the wedding and that from them until both of us have given our notice or will can i get it?
I gave notice in my homw town and hubby had to give notice in Wiltshire as thats where his address is at camp. 3 months is plenty of time hun, it has to be done 15 days before the wedding. xxx
thats all right then im so relieved my stuiped wedding planner had me panicking saying i should have done it ages ago. silly women.
Yeah, needs to be 2 full weeks clear...I think we did it 18 days before we got married :), 3 months is plenty
