Hi everyone,

I'm new to all of this. I think im going to find it really hard when my h2b goes into the RAF. He just needs to pass his fitness test to get into the RAF. We have been together for about 3 years now and we have been engaged for about 1 month now.

He will be away for his basic training and his trade training and im not really looking forward to it really because we havent been away from each other for a long period of time.

Anyone got any advice of how to deal with it and to make the time go quicker?

Lots of letters, parcels and phonecalls help hun. The best thing is to keep yourself busy...and of course on wags, you'll find all the advice and support you could ever need here :D

Enjoy the site!

Is it right to start doubting everything about your relationship???!!!
Or is it just your head playing tricks when you have time apart?
I feel like I am letting my man down! ;-(

Hello, I'm Paula and my partner is just moving from Aldergrove to Benson next week. He's just done 5 weeks in Kenya, when we first met over 19 months ago, he went to Iraq for 8 weeks and then Kenya for 6 weeks. It's really tough being home without them and would like to chat to any of you for fun or advice. We are getting married in May 2010 and would not swap him for the world. His job is very important to him, and as he only has 8 years left to do the planning for future is at the fore front of both our minds.

Would be great to hear back.

Very proud Wife to be x x x
