hey hunni, all those things sound absoluetly fine. you're right about aerosols, they're not allowed but for things like shaving foam, you can get gel which i sent to hubbi in iraq, and roll on deoderant.

there's loads of threads on here if you just search parcels in the search bit they should come up, there's loads of great ideas.

i send hubbi loads of sweets, books are good, hubbi had his laptop out here to watch dvds so i bought him the bear grylls dvd box set and sent a dvd in each parcel. hope that helps xx

This is the link to the restrictions from the Post Office its basically no pressurised containers and things like that. Foods that go out of date quickly asre nota great idea as parcels can take a couple of weeks to get there sometimes. Also chocolate isnt good as it melts in the heat!!
I made the mistake of sending pringles too which all exploded everywhere and covered his xmas presents in crumbs lol

To be honest though the shops out there are really decent and sell most essentials, even pillows and quilts (and ipods lol), I remember getting told that at Bastion they had more choice than ever and at tax free prices!
