new uni life

well, today i moved into my new uni flat, which is on halls. the room is lovely, and my flat mates all seem really nice. spent most of the night with 3 of them, and had a blast! but of course, im missing my OH and wishing he could of been here to help me move in - saw lots of guys carryin their girlfriends boxes and suitcases and felt a bit jealous! lol. but anyway, anyone hav any advice for starting uni life?? xx

I know how you feel, i have recently moved into uni as well. Luckily for me my boyfriend was still in the country so he was able to come and help me move in but he was flying out to Afghan a few days later. So when he left that was our last goodbye before he went for 6 months. (not a great way to make new friend - mascara running down your face as your blubbering away to complete strangers :P). But i have settled in now and hope you have too. Where about are you at uni?

heya hun, i guarentee for you that uni will be some of the best days of your life, if i could go back and do mine again i totally would! :)

missing your oh will be tough, but pleeeeeeeaaaasee dont let it get in the way of you going out and meeting new people and having some fun! I made that mistake when i was in first year and always regretted it. sadly (not really, my current boyfriend is sooooo much better suited to me!) my relationship back then didnt last the distance, but plenty of people i know managed to make it work and had a fab time at uni.

I understand totally how you feel im going through the same thing, makes it harder bein so far away from home but people keep telling me it will get easier so im just going to wait untill it does! =)

the first year of uni was the best time of my life! and no i wasnt with OH, but this year uni kinda keeps me going... if im having a bad day i just get into my work. Uni is just another escape xx
