Im Donna 23 from Bedford.
Thought ill try this site as all this army girlfriend stuff is new to me. I met my guy on hol in magaluf and i new he was in the army, we have only been together 4 months (so its honeymoon period) he lives in york witch is quite far from me so that is hard enough as i only get to see him at weekends but now he has gone to afghan! his been there 10 now and im missing him so much and i worry all the time.
I would love to chat to other girls who know's more and have been though all this as im finding it really hard.

Hello how long has your guy been in Iraq?
My boyfriend is in afghan, his been there 11 days but feels like forever.
Do you hear from him much cos i dont really know what to expect as his been there 3 times but only this time when i have been with him so dont really know how often i can speak to him??
Hi donna, My OH is in Iraq...bin out there nearly 6 weeks. I'm lucky and he phones a couple of times a week and talk to him on MSN most days with a few emails in between.. but it does vary xx
Ive not been able to chat to him on MSN or talk to him as the phones and internet have been down all the time i do get some texts thow which i bet cost him loads lol.
Can i ask when he says he will be home on a certain date is that likely to change?
And do u know wether they have to go back after 2 or so weeks im a bit confused on that one its been mentioned but i didnt have time to ask.
yea - nothings ever a certainty in the army LOL! My OHs date just been bought forward by 5 days which is great but could change - depends on whats goin on at the time n flights etc. They generally get r&r at home halfway(ish) thru tour, I'm not that well up on it all tho so someone else mite have better info! xx
Nothing is certain at all! mine was supposed to be posted in January after nearly 4 years of being here and now he's been told its unlikely to be before June!
Normally R&R is about half way, but its like everything with the army, not a definate!!!
