i thought it was about time i said hi! My hubby is in afghan at the mo for 6months, ive got through 6weeks of it so far but im finding it hard being a temporary 'single mum' and finding things to do when we live on military base in Cyprus isn't really that easy! My little boy is very confused and gets upset when he sees pictures of Daddy or someone mentions him-anyone got any ideas? thanks
hey welcome to wags!!
how long u got left,,mine oh is away at the moment i have done 12 weeks got nine more to do..grrrrr hate it...how old is ur little boy!! my little girl does drawings and i put those in his parcel etc, u could get ur little boy involved in some arts and craft stuff to send out...its tough luckily mine is 5 and she kinda understands but she is at the age where time means nothing to her so i find it easier to deal with..iuf u no what i mean..and she has also got into a routine..do u get r n r....
anyway hope all is well apart form that.xxx
Welcome to wags hun.x.x.x
Got 20weeks left, yes we get r n r but not till nearly the end. Hes only 15months so he's too young to be able to understand, but it upsets me when he points at pictures on our walls and says daddy? then goes to the door. Ive just sent a dvd of his first year to my hubby so hopefully that will keep him smiling at that end. I never know what to put in his parcels though-apart from Haribo!
hey
it is hard especially maybe as u got such a small child your tryikng to make understand...i feel my parcels up with magazines, haribo, maoams he loves them, chewing gum, crisps, photos, cds letters i cram loads in..i no some of the girls whose other halfs are afghan send like bucket and spades, pot noodles, things like that.....hope ur finding things a bit better today....im normally always about so pm if u need anything.xxxx
