View Full Version : Favours....
Has anyone got any ideas for favours. i dont want anything to expencive but it needs to be nice! What are having for favours for your wedding???
My mother in law made ours, they were lovely.
We had a black and white theme so she got (no idea where from) some black and white heart shaped chocolates (big and small) with hard sugar coating, some black and white netting bags with ribbon to tie them and made gorgeous little labels with really nice card and printed off of computer with our names and wedding date on. THey were so simple, but absolutely perfect and cost about £30 altogether I think.

wow! That was good. I just dont know what to do for favours. I mean it would be nice for people to take something away with them from the wedding, but i dont want to be spending too much on favours.
Think she got all the stuff from HObbycraft...just a case of finding some choccies that fit in with your theme!!

yeh.... just dont want to spend too much if you know what i mean.
I dont want to spend much either. I was making some little scented felt hearts for the women but got stuck on the men so I have now decided that I am going to make little toiletry bags and get make up and face creams and purfume samples off make up counters and pop a few in. If you go to different counters in different shops too you could get a few then do it over a few weeks. That is going to fill mine up :D I do know a lot of the girls that work on makeup counters in my house of fraser so that will help. Just thought it was something different and unique. Good luck.
We had port sippers for the men and made some little labels on ribbon to hang around them. For the women I bought some big trays of thorntons chocolates from their on-line shop and bought cardboard truffle boxes which I decorated.
Since reading this post i have now ordered little favour bags from ebay, i am just going to put in them some little packets of lovehearts and maybe something else but haven't decided yet! So open to ideas...
My sister just had a mini mars bar and M&M's in her's, depends on how posh you want to go.
i was going to get some lovehearts saying just married on them untill i saw the price. For what it was the price was too high.
That is what i wanted to do but they were going to be ~£20 for 60 which i thought was a bit pricey for some sweets! In the end I decided to get little personalised stickers to put either on the bags or inside them then the sweets can be normal.
I have tried to attach a picture from the website.
They seem good. I need to look around to see what there is and how much they are going to cost.
i got some favour boxes from tescos which were really cheap, then i just ordered from confetti some red foil chocolate hearts. i got some tissue paper and some stick on diamontee bows which i'd used on the invites and place cards and decorated them with that. you can do it very cheaply. even boiled sweets, they're cheap and yummy. xxx
I remember as a kid making my step aunts and she got some sugar coated almands and some seethrough (sp?) material and then tied it all up in a bow... I think I still have them somewhere lol
