Think my ohs is round about the same time 10th 11th ish hes mentioned it but i have a mind like a sieve lol think i might get a dress from miss butterfly i love that shop you can get sum beautiful dresses for bargin prices :D im excited coz missed the summer ball coz of work xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Have no idea when my OH's is, although in fairness he has been away for the past few months, so it's probably been the last thing on his mind lol!! :p
My oh's is on the 11th aswell :D I can't wait its gunna be the both of ours first one !! Havent got a clue to wear coz I don't want to be over or under dressed argghh !! xx
I don't know when my OH's is....i keep asking though, any excuse to buy a gorgeous dress :D

miss butterfly is amazing and dont have that worry of having someone eles in the same dress than if you went to new look etc
I go to the miss B shops as we are lucky enough to have one in southampton, theres this lovely white dress which would be perfect for xmas (going for the angelic look lol) think the most expensive it gets is £35 most things are £15-£30.
Aww kirsty its brill tho check with the oh bout dress code as remember my oh wen was at sandhurst was rubbish and at last min told me that they like shoulders and knees covered :rolleyes:....
im hoping where hes based now isnt as strick as im only 5ft 1 and dresses that cover the knees dont flatter me lol xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Formal occasions like Mess Do's, Christmas Balls, the dress code is full length dress (unless specifically otherwise stated- like if it was fancy dress or they allowed you to wear a c0cktail dress=below the knee), always have a wrap, shrug etc in case your shoulders do need to be covered. Short dresses or dresses above the knee are a big no x x x

like cheeky said take a shrug or pachmina with you incase plus keeps you nice and warm lol, to be safe go for a dress thats on/below the knee so they are respectfully covered to be on the safe side. Im just going for just on the knee as i look like a stumpy midget if its below the knee (such an akward length) and full length dresses are a pain to buy when ur 5ft 1 as they drown me. hopefully my ohs base is not as posh as sandhurst so wont matter as much. i dont know any of the other wallop wags so havnt got anyone to have a dress conference with lol xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Middle Wallop? My oh was there, they go all out and formal for Christmas and dress code is full length dresses for Winter Ball, the summer ball is a bit more laid back and you can wear a c0cktail dress. I wasn't lucky enough to go to a Xmas one there as he got posted b4 I could go 2 a Xmas one oh helped plan it though and said it was fabulous.
I went to the Summer one there and it set the bar so high that no others have matched up to it yet!! :D x x x
yeah middle wallop when was your oh there till?.. i had to miss the summer one this year coz was working, it was stars and stripes theme it sounded awesome... oooh I may have misjudged wallop lol so it very posh still :D ill deff make sure i dress up then.. boys are so rubbish arnt they I ask if a dress this length is ok and hes like "um dunno that should be fine" :rolleyes: xxxxxxxxxxx
im a wallop wag hehe, I don't live there but my OH is based there (for the rest of this month anyway)

He hasn't told me about the xmas ball, so maybe thats because he knows we wont be here for it??
I will defo let you know tho, it will be nice to be able to have someone i know there. I havent really met many of the other wags there. Do you live in MQ's there?

yeah deff let me know be nice to know someone there and that can discuss dresses with lol.... we're not married and I live in winchester at the mo.. not too far away so its like a seccond home :p

No we're not in mq's at the mo, we only got married at the beginning of last month, and because of his posting we haven't put in the housing at wallop.
I just spoke to OH tho, (wanted some info about this whole xmas ball thing :rolleyes: ) He doesn't reckon that he'll still be at wallop then, looks like his leaving date for there is the 28th November.
Im a bit gutted now lol, i think of all the times ive been up there (its a bit like my second home too lol) and we've never known we both had OH's there :(

my oh's been at wallop since he passed out of basic lol he's well over due a posting. He's a class 1 now tho, and unfortunatly didn't pass his signals instructor course.
Im quite excited about the move, be our first house together, so im trying to get everything packed up lol (just bought a new tv hehe!!!)
Yeah i always assumed i was the only wallop wag, no-one ever say's anything about it. I've never thought to ask either lol
