Yes indeedy. My ex is arriving in 8 hours. I haven't seen him in over 7 months when I dropped him off at the airport on his way to Afghanistan. I'm sooooo excited it's untrue!!!! Lots of water under the bridge since we split up and we are back to best mates again. And the best bit is that he's single...

Hi to those of you I haven't spoken to before!!! And I will defo be keeping you posted. It'll keep you all entertained if nothing else! This is either going to be the stuff of fairytales or an amusing episode in the soap opera that is my life!
Well he finally snapped out of the spell that he was under with his gf (long story for those of you who don't know about it - have a search for my previous posts if you're curious) and realised that she was just in it for the money and not for him. It took a broken leg and her not looking after him for him to realise. And the lightbulb came on - that he'd thrown away the woman he was meant to be with (that's me btw!). So seeing as he's not allowed to fly, one of his mates is currently driving him down to Devon from Blackpool. They're less than an hour away!!!! My ex has said that he wants to get back together with me and that he really wants to make it work this time and make up for the idiot that he was before. If it's true, I'd love it but my plan is to just take it really slow this time. If it's meant to be then there's no rush. Plus he's got a really badly broken leg which now needs a plate put in so it's going to be a little while before he's fit enough to go back out to Afghanistan .

Just had a flicked through your last posts and remembered your situation, and all I'm gonna say is, I hope for your sake he is a changed man...
Thank you!!!! I am being careful and taking it very very slow. He's doing very well so far but I am obviously still very wary. I learned a lot last time and I do now care about me first and I am not willing to go through that again and he knows it. He also knows that he's a lucky b*stard to be given another chance and ALL his mates are telling him that too which is great. It's only been a few days so far but it's been a really wonderful few days and he is treating me like the princess that I always deserved to be treated as. So as long as this carries on, we're looking good. I'll keep you posted and thank you all for keeping my feet on the ground! xxx :)

thank you girlies!!!! really appreciate you looking out for me. all's still going well i'm glad to report. now i'm debating how on earth i'm going to tell my parents! if you guys reacted like this, their reaction is going to be a zillion times worse. i'm thinking i'm going to wait until we get through his next rotation in afghan and tell them once he's back again - just so i'm sure that this really is what i want from life. what do you reckon??? xxx

Glad he is treating you like a princess we all diserve that.... Altimatly its down to you what you do and I am not too sure what happened fully, but some times you just have to ride the waves and I really hope it works out for your two..
