hi ladies im emma 23 been with my partner john for 3 years in march and he has recently been accepted into the army! he is going to be in the east anglian regiment of the royal logistic corps as a driver.
im scared, nervous and excited all at the same time and im not really sure what to expect?? we are due to get married in july all going well and wondered what happens once were married with regards to married quarters?? were not sure where hes going to be posted yet but we have discussed moving into marriage quarters... whats the process to arrange this?

Welcome to Wags! and congratulations to your OH! :D
With regards to married Quarters you can apply for them once you have set your date to get married, i think its a couple of months before but don't quote me on it! Although as your OH will be in basic, you will probably find you have to wait til he gets his first posting after basic training. You can't really apply for quarters until you know where your gonna be posted!! :D After you get the posting order through, it is generally quite quick although it is really dependant on where the posting is and what the availability is like xx

Welcome to WAGS, I am also quite new, but addicted and loving it already :)
We just recently got married in Aug, and moved into MQ in Sept. Your OH will have to wait until he is posted after training, but you can apply for MQ before you are married. Thats what we did so that it was ready by the time we got back from our wedding in NZ. He applied about 2 months before we got married, as they say it can take around 6 weeks, but I guess it does depend on where he is posted and availability in the area.

with mq's i enquired about this a few weeks back, you can move all of your stuff in 2 weeks before the wedding date but are not allowed to stay in iy until you are actually married, i hate how the froces are so old fashioned!

really??? i never heard of that before. once you've marched in and are given the keys you can move and stay there regardless. some people can get theres a couple of weeks before the wedding but we got our about 2/3 weeks after. xx

Thats not fair :( i enquired with the marines and they said i can move in two weeks before but only our stuff and not us in person until we are married, how bloody stupid :(
