We will be having Christmas in May, and all I'm really giving him is money towards getting his beloved sports car done up - it's really a present for both of us as it's a total state and he wants it to be our wedding car!
Will probably get him some little pressies as well but I have plenty of time to shop for that...

aww hun, you should feel special he wants to treat you. i'm sure he knows u havent got as much to spend, its the little things that count, especially with men (hubbi always tells me that)
being poor does suck though hun, i know that feeling. xxx
Sarah im in exactly the same boat... im bringing in £40/ week and thats being spent straight on transport to and from uni every day, and i somehow need to miraculously find another £1400 by the middle of january to pay the rest of my fee's- else im kissing goodbye to my Masters.
I told oh the other day how guilty i felt that i cant afford to buy him lots of nice things, esp as all year long he has been treating me and will again at xmas... but he replied back saying f*ck 'things', all i want is you.
Try to find some nice things to do for him instead that'l show how much you love him but wont break the bank. Im planning on getting my apron on again and baking him some of the cookies that i made and sent out to him and the boys for his birthday in january when he was in afghan... he appreciated them loads, altho im sure they wont be quite so amazing now hes back home and has real food to compare them to....
and am planning on not being psycho-bitch over xmas, so he actually has the nice 'me' for xmas!!!!!!
small things please simple (man-sized) minds :D:p
I'vegot my oh status quo tickets!
In his stocking he's got lots of choccie, a bottle of JD, some bright red guitar strings, some spongebob plectrums for his guitar, some socks with his name on and his royal marine commando action figure :p
For his main presents he's got the Twilight book and DVD, Supernatural boxset, Superdry Tshirt, Guitar Pedal, Clinique shaving set and I'm half way through making a photo-poster on the Bootsphoto website. It's a collage of photos of him and his mates and me and some from Afghan, they print it off into a big poster so he can stick it on his pinboard in his bedroom at work.
I'm also buying him a St.Christopher cause he lost his  and he wore it on every tour to Afghan to keep him safe, so I want him to have one.
It's his birthday in January so I'm not spending any more on Crimbo stuff for him, and he says he hates it anyway so...
