for girls with guys on tours..... post your ideas here :D:
Well, hubby was going to be away so I started to think about it, but the furthest I got was I was going to decorate the inside with glittery paper and cover everythig with fake snow!!! Bit pathetic really!! heehee

- Send a mini Xmas tree plus decs for it and their tent to help them feel festive
- get friends and family to all write a Xmas card to send in the parcels
- send out cheaper presents such as CD's, DVD's etc for them to listen to/watch
- sneakily send crackers and all other christmas paraphernalia!
- little gadgety presents, such as water pistols, remote control car's etc
- picture of you in a Saucy Santa outfit
- DVD of pics of you both set to Xmas music.
- Send a bluey with the cr*ppy christmas jokes in
- make (or buy) a christmas cake and send that
- candy canes, etc

-send out a cheap adult santa outfit they will have hours of fun with it
-buy some of those xmas cards where you can put your own pic in, if your preg put the scan pic in (i did this lol)
-I didnt say this but send out a miniture alcohol (did this too last year, sent 5 one for each of his team and they got there safely, they each had one to toast the new year, also another wife sent some to there team too)
-send a xmas pudding
-xmas cards from family memebers
-the foil xmas decs for their tents
-also wrap your box in xmas wrapping paper but put loads of tape on it to keep it together (they get thrown all over)
-chocolates for the tree you have sent
-presents send out socks, smellies, razors all things they can use out there so they dont have to bring them back in there bag
-computer game if they have taken laptop
-xmas masks for them to act silly with
I will just be sending silly little presents as we will be having a proper Christmas when he's home...
- ginger cake (as OH doesn't like Christmas pudding) with instant custard!
- poker set
- mini remote control helicopters
- some rather special and confusing Japanese bodywarmers (will have to get my mum to translate the instructions!)
- mini stocking with sweets, chocs etc
He is a bit of a Scrooge so will not be sending loads of Christmassy stuff but I will be wrapping everything and filling the box with confetti!

I love the idea of xmas jokes and a mini tree lol :D

my oh isnt on tour but some of my friends have been and before weve sent:
puzzles books/mags
wind up torches,
toiletres; nice shower stuff, deodrant, baby wipes,
reindeer antlers or santa hats,
travel size games; like scrabble, cards etc...
chewing gum,
lip balm (the one with the sun screen in it)
sweets that are associated with christmas like candy cains!
little sachets of hot chocolate, cuppa soups, oxo cubes, tea bags, herbel tea

Just think I wonder what will be in their present from the government this year last year hubbi got a gold tin with loads of stuff in, i told him he had to bring it home so i could have a look and bless him he had not even eaten the biscuits in it lol

Ooh I didn't know they got pressies from the government! To be fair it would be incredibly mean if they didn't...

yeah everyone on ops gets one last year it had about 30 different things all in a little box, things like a mini multi tool, a folding cup, biscuits n tea, god cant think what else lol but he still has his and it came in a nice tin x
PS sorry its a charity that does it but i think they get some money from government but also public and donate x

We're having a proper Xmas with turkey and stuff when he comes back for R&R (whenever that might be!) which will be something to look forward to. I had a nightmare finding one last time hubbi was on tour at xmas, left it til the last min as usual which didnt help, but i bought a fab fibre optic small tree which had little decs on and rotated, so he literally just had to pull it out the box and it was ready to go! Got it on ebay for about £7...bargain! xxx
I might have to have a look to send one again this year! x
Just try like a cheap shop or xmas shop I got mine from an xmas shop that sold really cheap and nasty things LOL but the little tree was ok and only cost about £2 bargin I say lol xx
