cos I need some ideas!!!
I keep asking him what he wants and he says i dunno, not helpful!! I have got him a couple of t-shirts and some boxers cos he sooo needs them :p any other ideas??
Even stocking fillers/romantic bits anything, I just need help!!! Argh

hey hun, I got my OH some warm winter tops as he has no warm winter clothes at all, and will prob be needing them when he comes home to the cold from Kenya in a couple of weeks. Also filling a stocking for him with underwear, chocs, bottle of rum and smellies. I find him really hard to buy for too, as he never wants anything at all! I still want to get him a couple more things though, but havent seen anything that I think he will like as yet.

St.Christopher necklace cause he wore his all through Afghan then lost it.
Also got him a photo book from Bootsphoto.com - put in all the photos from the past year, pics of us, our holiday, him in afghan etc.
And I've got him a big stripy socking and filled it with goodies like chocolate coins, bottle of JD, sweeties, socks etc :D

Yeah its hard isnt it then men who have everything!! He needs soooo many clothes but he is sooo fussy on most things bar t-shirts & he doesnt buy himself clothes cos he just a typical bloke and thinks its a waste of money!!

My Oh is exactly the same with clothes, he is soooo picky its not funny! But I have played it safe with the things i got, so fingers crossed he likes them, or else he can exchange them for something else. And he never ever buys any clothes for himself, so ends up like now - having no clothes at all to wear!
What about dvds or cds for your OH?
so far i have got my oh little bits..
he has:
his fave shampoo lol i swear he is female..
his fish shower gel, deodrant and hair gel
2 selection packs
pj bottoms
boxers
socks
a rugby hoody he wanted
karma sutra cards lol to be fair he has been away five months..lol
and there was this calender of chores too which was like 2 quid. if he completes a housework chore he gets something..lol...thought it was good for stocking.
i got him a sesame street ernie mug as thats his nick name..lol
scratch cards
a towel and a soap which says arse and face..
there all just stocking bits.
oh yer and i have brought him a road map and have downloaded him **** loads of albums.. thought it was a bit of a nice but funny joke as he had all his cds and sat nav stolen from his car....****ers...couldnt afford a sat nav..lol...
and he wants a watch so we gonna go choose that when he is home.
he is a nightmare he just buys what he wants.xx
i tried to do one of those love letters as on here, but none of my pics are near big enough!!

You can also get soft-backs for about a tenner, or you can get Love Books which have love quotes in them next to pics of you and your OH.

if you search love letter threads there's links. iv done a photo book before that's why i did this, i love the photobooks, think james liked it lol. i liked the love letter this time round though coz i got to write in it and select love poems and quotes like 'to the world you may be one person, but to one person you can be the whole world' etc tried to make it as un-cheesey as possible!! i also wrote about fun memories etc xxx

no not at all, yours is really thoughtful but not too mushy or nethin, the one i did for my oh a couple years back was kinda lame coz i just put all the pics of our holidays in it (coz he didnt have a camera at the time so only i had pics) and didn't really do any text or nethin. im sure it'll make him smile lots!! il let you know what the love letter is like, it got dispatched today so should have it 2mo or day after. i really like the mix of pics and lots of text, i think it comes in like a bound folder with a ribbon- for dramatic effect!! the love letter might be a bit girly lol....

yeah bootphoto.com do them all year round and loads of other personalised stuff, and they do all sorts of themes such as wedding, birthday, plain etc xxx

Arnhem book (very fitting as he has just his jump into Arnhem in September)
A mess set (which he chose himself but doesn't know i have actually bought it lol) it comes with 1 plate, 1 bowl, and 2 little bowls all with lids and a spork!!) (hehe i love that word SPORK!! haha how sad)

and his footy book that he asked for but i lied and said they sold out but i have got it signed!! hehe
A good pressie by the way for footy mad OH's is sending a card (christmas, birthday, easter whatever in an SAE to your OH's fav footy club and just ask if they can get all the players to sign it for your OH, explain he's in the forces and they are more than happy to do it and its all free!! I did it for my OH's birthday last year he loved it!!

Just email your OH's footy team (just go to their official website it will tell you on there who to email) just asking if you were to send in a card could they have it signed by as many of the first team as possible (have to mention first team or you will end up with U18's etc)
They will email you back telling you where to send your card, pop it in the post with a stamped addressed envelope so they can get it back to you.
I call it cheap, effective and overall PRICELESS really! the price of a card and a few stamps and its a keepsake for life

I've posted this somewhere else but never mind, thinking of getting him an Ipod but cant decide, was looking at the ipod touch so he has videos and photos and music and films and games etc etc for the sandpit, so that would be his main present for xmas and bday (3days after). Then i was just thinking of getting some nice lingerie for r n r and wrapping that for "him".:p ive not got a ridiculous amount of money to spend and he goes back to afghan for rest of tour shortly after so im hoping it will look like enough, will try and get some other little bits and bobs. He'd be fine if i got him nothing! its me worrying more than anything :rolleyes: some fab gifts going on from u tho girls, good thinking!!xx
so far ive bought oh a book on gothic art (hes trying to get back into drawing), and set of pjs from fat face and some slippers.
still need to buy a few smaller gifts but a bit lost as to what to get :confused:
I've got him a load of random stocking filler type things and a dvd and a personalised photo keyring from Oscar. No big pressies this year as I'm on mat pay and we've just had the little bundle!!
