Not a winge (for a change)
Is anyone feeling anxious about Christmas? I just cant get into the Christmas spirit I have my decs up at home I just feeling a little anxious for some reason.
Maybe when I start buying and wrapping presents then my feeling will change sometimes when I think about Christmas I almost cry :rolleyes:.. TBH I just want to spend Christmas with my daughter and OH but not going to happen this year :(
I am going to have Megs and my pics taken on Saturday hopefully to get printed ready in time for Christmas pressies for family. :D

Im a bit anxious but coz ive hardly got money to get prezzies, ive gone overboard with prezzies for OH and havent got money for everyone else, so its going to be a very very tight month which is depressing :(
Once you get out to buy prezzies and wrap them up hopefulli the spirit will kick in, i werent feeling in the spirit really until we put decs up at work.
Aww have fun on Saturday :D:D That might pick your spirit up more :D x x x
I'm all up and down about Christmas at the moment, I'm really looking forward to it in the sense that the time passes quickly, so that's more of my countdown gone but I know that I'll also be really sad that OH won't be around...
I'm also gutted that I'm so utterly skint this year I won't be able to do my usual splurge of present shopping :(
Luckily my mum and dad are brilliant at making Christmas fun so once I get into the swing of things I'll be fine... hopefully!

aww I'm sorry for those who don't have your oh's around, must be a hard time of year to not spend with them. I'm sure you and your daughter will have a great time tho, like Zoe says once you get organised I'm sure you'll feel much better. Christmas is a stressy time of year! I don't think I'm gonna feel xmassy until I finish work on the 23rd! xxx
I think its the whole I really dont have the money this year as work very kindly took 6 days off me when I was off with Megs - Which is fair enough but I didn't think they would take it off me this month soooo I am not able to do the big splurge on xmas pressies hmmmm Also I think my Mum hasnt helped as she has said that she is only doing pressies for the kids so as in Megs which is great but I have to buy for my 3 step sisters which I dont mind either I just feel really pushed to one side with her I am her only blood relative left humph (now I sound like a spoilt brat, but I am an only child so am allowed lol) Also D and I were supposed to be going on a family holiday with us and both kids our first proper family holiday and I was really looking forward to it.
I am proper throwing my toys out of the pram and stamping my feet - Well christmas is meant for kids lol
ok need to snap out of it... Saturday the photos are going to be Me and Megs for family and naughty ones for OH :D
You don't sound like a spoilt brat at all, it was really harsh of your work to take the days this month, out of courtesy you'd think they'd wait until January. All I can say is make the most of what you can do, and without sounding all disney, xmas is about being with the family lol :) I'm sure you'll give Megs a fab xmas. And I bet the photoshoot will be lots of fun too :) xxx
im absolutely dreading xmas this year. Until now xmas has always just been me, my mum, my grandma, and my stupid step-dad. My grandma passed away this year, my mum doesnt love my step-dad or particularly want to be with him, we dont have any other family to spend it with and mums been ill for such a long time that she has lost contact with all her friends as well.
Ive been invited to spend the day with oh and his family which i REALLY want to do, but i just feel so bad for my mum who will prob be stuck at home on her own, mourning the loss of her own mum.
i honestly dont know what to do anymore, i even volunteered to work xmas day just to avoid having to make a decision, but im not getting paid any extra so dont really want to!!!
im def not looking forward to xmas this year!!!!!!!

23rd dec-4th jan, wish i didnt have to work at all xmas week with james back, but it's better than other jobs, least we dont open between xmas and new year :) xxx
I'm not feeling Christmassy yet, me and oh are bout halfway through the shopping...well, i've done most of it lol! and i've got his things!
It's quite stressful this year as we are buying a house so funds are rather tight.
I'm hoping everyone buys us Dumnelm Mill vouchers for Christmas lol!
Also we go on holiday on boxing day! Expensive!
My heart goes out to all you girls who's ohs are away, I hope you manage to have a nice Christmas :)

Yeah like ya say at least your not open for xmas and new year.
I am supposed to finish on the 18th but ive took the 16th,17th and 18th unpaid coz i dont wana be working while jacks home..
I need the money really but i dont think i could bare it lol x x x
I'm working between Xmas and New Year - was going to take the whole 10 days off but used up all my holiday for OH's leave before tour! I don't mind really though, at least I won't come back after New Year to a mountain of post and I'd probably just be moping around at home if I had taken time off...

aww that's cool, i havnt taken it off as annual leave coz there's a few members of staff here with kids so they're obviously prioritised for getting time off at xmas. im not too worried tho coz it'll give james a couple days to spend with his family (specifically his brother whose leaving for training in catterick on the 10th jan) so i dont have to feel guilty about having him the rest of the time :) xxx
im quite lucky coz i get the time off between the 23rd-4th paid leave but it's not actually taken from my annual leave days so i still get 20 odd days on top of these :)

i've had to book off 4 days but i'm off from 23rd til 4th. i'm beginning to feel xmassy but not that much to be honest. i've started wrapping pressies but still got lots to do oh and we have our tree up. xxx

Army basic training, he's technically going into the Welsh Guards, but it's kinda confusing, he did the army selection hoping he would be fit enough to be a para but wasn;t so he's gone into the Welsh Guards instead. BUT he seems to think he can specialise into the Paras after the 14 weeks training...which im not completely convinced by just coz I would have thought he'd have to do guard duty etc for the WG, plus would think a lot of lads would try and get into the paras that way?? either that or he's gonna be allowed to do another selection or sumit. I duno, it's the army anyway! He's gonna be a pongo as the marines say hehe xxx
i took advice from u lovely ladies and have just wrapped all the presents that ive bought so far!!!! :) the only thing its put me in the mood for now is going to buy more!!!!! and most certainly has not put me in the mood for finishing this assignment.... :(
