View Full Version : New Year!

I usually despise New Year, when I was with my ex it was always a case of going to the busiest pub/club/party around, which meant spending a fortune for the privilege of waiting an hour at the bar only to have your overpriced drink spilled after 10 seconds because of the huge crowds! Luckily OH is as much of a sad git as me so last year we went to a friend's house, ordered a pizza and went to bed after midnight... much more my type of thing haha!

Now as I'm skint and not really up for a big night anyway I think I'll be hanging out with a couple of other WAGs from OH's lot who will also be on tod over the festive season with DVDs and popcorn...

What's everyone else up to?

We're just going to a house party, friends of OH who we went on holiday with. I'd rather go out but it costs too much and taxi fares are ridiculous !!
So it will be a cheap and cheerful night :D x x x

Not exactly spoilt with choice my way, it's usually a night in a farmers pub getting leeched on and feeling like you're at a cattle market...or a night in watching bbc1 with the parentals (and yes oh did that with me last year bless him haha)...hmm lol....really hoping someone has a house party that would be fun but none of us offer our houses lol. probs will decide lunchtime of new years eve! xxx

Well Kev was in Afghan last year, and I had an absolutely HOOFING new years eve! Me and some mates got tickets to a nightclub in Wigan so we just spent hours getting ready, went there and partied til about 4am then went back to a party til 9am

This year Kev will still be recovering from his operation, and his family have a big party so we'll be staying in having lots of drinks, probably playing on karaoke with his family and being very silly. Perfect :D

Me & OH havent decided what we are doing yet as he is still in Kenya and he said we can organise something when we are back. But my friends who live in London have offered us there flat while they are away so may go to London for a few days, but prob just chill rather than head out. I really want to see the fireworks, so that maybe an option, but dont really want to be amongst all the crazy crowds!!!

NYE is soooo overrated though, I remember when I was younger and it was always such a big build up, but the night was always never as good as you expect, so no expectations for me this year! Just as long as im with hubby i will be happy :)

We usually have a party at our house and have some friends and all the neighbours round.......Something always ends up broken though......Two years ago our LCD screen TV was damaged from flying glass after our friends kids' had a pillow fight in the living room and smashed the light shade!! Ooooops!!! Was all sorted in the end and we didn't have to fork out but thats a whole other story! Lol
