View Full Version : I am hating this christmas.
I just cant get into it at all. Everything is going wrong. First of all NO money but christmas presents done. Came to put up my decorations to find all my pretty things that I cant replace missing. So I went to the old house and asked if we could look in their attic for them if they wouldnt mind. So went round yesterday and they werent there :(. Really dunno where they have gone. I need them. Then I got my tree and struggled to get it in the car but I did in the end. Got home came to put it up and it wouldnt stay. Then got it up and got my lights all on, then went to test them and guess what?? they wouldnt bloody work. So I thought it was a fuse so changed it but they still didnt work. Then today I went and bought more (with no money in my account) got them all on got them working but noticed one little bit wasnt right so went to move it and the whole thing fell :mad:. I cant get it to stand up and I have no one here to help me. So I still cant decorate my tree and its 11 days to christmas. Thing is my house is a mess until I get everything up grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I want my man to help me :(
Awww bless u hun, I had a battle with my xmas tree yesterday as well and was saying exactly the same thing....wheres my man when i need him and don't the blumin' army understand that my xmas lights are more important than them lol!!
I'm feeling very bahh humbug this year too

Take a deep breath and start again, maybe a little slower. I understand completley how you are feeling. A few years ago (this is different but very similar) when I was on my own for the first time in like 3 years I forced myself to go get a Christmas tree I felt so upset doing it all on my own, hated buying the tree and decs, struggled to get the tree in the car whilst these happy families were merrily walking past I just wanted to leave the tree in the car park and go home and hide.... I dont know how but I managed to snap myself out of the funny mood I was in and crack on and when it was done I felt so much better... Have you tried doing it with a couple or 3 glasses of wine :D
There is just no way I can get it to stay up in the bucket and pat all the soil in around it :( Its a two man job.
I am trying so hard to get in the christmas spirt as it will be the first one Amelie will really know what is going on.

I know what u mean about the xmas spirit, I'm desperately trying for my daughters sake. I cant even get bladdered and pretend I dont care bout being on my own at xmas lol xxxx

I have been to knock on my neighbour but she isnt in :( I have tried ringing my soon to be bro in law and he cant come up and help nor can my mum or sister. I really wanted to get it done before Amelie got home from nursery :(. Her dad is round tonight to watch her whilst I am at my German class I will just have to get him to help before I go out. God knows how long it will take with him though. He means well and helps with everything but god makes me laugh coz he is worse than a woman at a mans job haha.

Aww i know what u mean hun, itsa horrible when u just wanna get something done, I was the same last night with my xmas decs, and the place looks such a mess while ur trying to sort it all out!

Oh god I will have a laugh if nothing else yeah. Yesterday was funny enough. He dont finish work until 6 so will be here about quarter past. Which is then pushing it because I go out at half past quarter to. So he better get a shuffle on sorting it out hehe. :eek:
