Hello everyone! :)
My name's Lauren... been looking for a support website like this for ages!
Bit about me, I'm in a relationship (2 years) with a Royal Marine who is currently at 40 Commando. I'm in the Royal Navy, currently working in London.
So.... He is off to the big "A" soon. Thought I was okay about it but it gets harder every day!

My OH is in the Army Based in Germany.
The girls are great and really supportive just shout if you have any questions :D There is always someone who can help.

I have been in the Navy for nearly four years, I went to the Gulf in 2008 for 7 months. But luckily, Luke (bf) was also on the same trip so we met Feb 08. We deployed for 5 months together which was fantastic. The longest we have been apart in 2 years is about 5 weeks, so we've been really really lucky (Especially since we are Forces/Forces).
He goes away in March (18th it looks like although not been confirmed).
Where abouts is your other half Emma-Jane?
And Jade, I am currently at RAF Northolt and we've had the whole of QCS move here, there are about 150 RAF Reg floating about. Do you know where he will be posted?

oh i wondered where they had been moved to! lol i heard uxbridge had been closed. dnt kno where he will be posted yet ,either lossiemouth,leeming,wittering or honington wont find out till april :( lol xxx

Nice to meet you, my other half has just left for his initial 9 weeks training Sunday so it's completely new to me.
Already Ive found the girls to be a major source of comfort. This website is an absolute god send for ignorants such as myself.

I have only been at Northolt for a couple of months. So I'm not too sure. Hopefully I will be promoted in a couple of months then towards the end of the year I will be back at sea ! :D
What branch is he joining, Loopyloz??

Im another RM wag, apart from my OH is based at 45 cdo (arbers), soon to be Yeovilton as hes going ASG.
Im looking at going from the TA (i used to be regs) to RNR as there seems to be no TA centres down that way...do you know much about them?

We arent 100% sure yet, he's going to be an engineer on the subs so Portsmouth or Scotland I think are the 2 options!!! But I'm guessing we wont know for a while yet!!!

I'm sorry but no, I don't know much about RNR. I am sure that 10 mins on Google and you will be able to find out the local RNR bases etc? Sorry I can't be of much help :(

He's doing good thanks, he's still in his original troop and has flown thru the shooting the last couple weeks so fingers crossed he keeps it up and doesn't get injured! How long has your lad been in the core? Has he been to ghanners yet before?xxx
