wow, thanks everyone for the lovely comments.. Its nice to know i'm not the only one at the mo who's hubby is away... Just hope the time goes quick for all of us!! To answer some of your questions, my hubby is based at RAF Wittering which is near peterborough but we live at RAF Cottesmore not far away due to no MQ... He's an MT Driver... He will be back end of April, which seems so long away, but i can see i'm better off than some of you dealing with 6month+ tours! My baby keeps me busy, but its still hard coping on your own and my hubby has to miss out on our little one who is changing so rapidly :(

Sarah is right, why don't you make a weekly baby report that you can post/email to Daddy. Take a couple of photos and write a sort of 'diary' from your little one. Even just normal stuff is nice for them, when mine is away I sent him an ebluey most days and worried that it would be boring, but he loved hearing about 'normal' life. So even if you just go to the shop or the park, take a couple of photos and then write a couple of sentences to say what you've done. You could even send him a little blank book and some glue out and he could stick each new entry into it. Or maybe that's my Primary teacher brain working overtime heehee. It will be something for you to do and I bet your hubby will love it!!

It's so hard hun, no matter if it's 1 month or 7. But the feeling when they come home is amazing!!

Hope you have a good day

Hi, welcome to Wags!

My OH is in the navy but currently based at RAF Wittering as he is an AET. We've just applied for MQ's there - hopefully moving in July if all goes to plan!

Anyways, hope you find this site useful - its really helped me!
