so what are all you lovely wags walking down the aisle to? im being piped in with flower of scotland, sounds a bit daft but i think its beautiful on the bagpipes :) however got a cd with one of my mags and it had canon in d major on it and it is absolutely beautiful!! may have the cd playing as people arrive xxxx
dont know what will happen with music on the beach as i walk towards OH. totally crapping myself about being center of attention and tryin to walk without any disasters i hadn't really given music a thought. have given my first dance music a bit of thought but again haven't got the foggiest about how the whole day will run and how similar it will be to a service over here
im not enagaged but my mum walked done to packerbell (sp?) so i may copy her as its pretty :)
ps. Rachel ur oh been back this weekend? if so he been able to fly back to NI? x

I think i probably have the same wedding magazine as you lol. However i'm having issues with Pachelbels Cannon in D as i had it to walk down the aisle to when i married my sons Dad, if i could get away with it without anyone saying anything to OH about it i would have it again cos it is so beautiful but i know someone would say something and it would just ruin the whole day and plus it wouldnt be unique to us so im looking for other just as beautiful alternatives

no he had to work this weekend so wasnt over so havnt had any dramas, he is flying over on fri tho and there is snow forecast all week so bit worried! is your oh having trouble getting back over hun??

princess - its a shame you feel you cant have the song again, perhaps you could use a different version? such as string quartet or something? there are lots of lovely classical songs tho so im sure you will find something just as nice if you dont feel comfortable using canon in d xxxxx

I wish i could Gemzy but i know someone like my Nan (who i cant stand lol) would say something and thats not fair on my OH. We are hopefully having a string quartet so looking for one other piece to have. If all else fails ill whack on John Legend - So high

i had a civil ceremony, i walked down the aisle to the instrumental only of James Blunt's Beautiful..
I then had chuch wedding blessing and walked to traditional organ here come the bride etc lol

Just going through my music on laptop and came across a couple of tear jerkers lol Alicia Keys (my absolute icon!!) Tell you Something i think sounds beautiful to walk down the aisle to so now im thinking scrap the string quartet!! and Like you'll never see me again for signing the register or walking back up the aisle too

we are doing the traditional thing as in chirch we will have an organist and i will be walking down to hear comes the bride and afterwards we will walk up to the wedding march

i always struggle with instrumentals, maybe its an imagination problem but i didnt think that sounded too loving until her voice came in plus i've never heard the song with the words i dont think but on the other hand i dont think here comes the bride sounds very romantic cos all i wanna do is giggle and shout yeah 50 inches wide. (wouldn't believe im 23 and meant to be a grown up lol)

im gonna walk down the aisle to lonestar amazed as i first heard it when OH was on tour and i felt it was like i was listenin to my own life then when signin the register its gonna be aerosmith i dont wonna miss a thing as it was playin in the background the first time me and OH has sex lol, and for the first dance we havent fidured that out yet lol

i cant listen to a westlife song without cryin as they were my mums fav and we had their songs played at her funeral
hehe, i want Pachabel's Cannon too. I decided on it when i was 12 years old! Talk about getting organised early! lol! and i would quite like lonestar amazed as our first dance but oh has got really particular taste in music so he might have his own ideas. i don't know - it's not like i really have to worry about this yet! :-)

first dance we are doing U2 You Cant Always Make It On Your Own, because that's our song,,,,, well kind of. Its his song for me and always has been so thought it would be quite fitting

I'm walking down the aisle to Nulla In Mundo Pax Sincera by Vivaldi and the recessional will be Vivaldi's Gloria... both beautiful pieces of music that I have sung myself and love to bits!
Hopefully will be able to get a string quartet and choir/soloist as my uncle is a local music whiz and knows lots of people ;)
