View Full Version : Hello I'm new! H2B basic training at Halton
Hi ladies!
Was recommended this forum from some fellow forces girls on Youandyourwedding.com
My name is Mel, I'm 26 living in yorkshire with my dog while my h2b is at Halton doing his basic training! He's on day 21 today, first weekend home this weekend...I cannot wait! He is going onto police trade training (all being well) after Halton and we are thinking we will pick bases in Lincs as our top 3 for his first posting. We get married in April 2011 in the Lakes, can't wait for that either!
be good to chat etc

hi hun welcome 2 wags my oh is on training aswell but at RAF Honington xxx
Welcome, I'm new too! My fiance is at Halton doing Supplier trade training. On a different note...when he fills out his dreamsheet it isn't for specific bases...it's counties. I know this for certain because we only found out today where we are off to! Hope this helps :)

Welcome to Wags!
xxxx
Hiya and welcome to wags! :) xx
My OH recently passed out from Halton and is now on a holding flight at Cosford... I've never had any connection to the forces and never had to deal with something like this before but I coped really well (after the first week and initial shock anyway!!) and I'm sure you will too!
The first weekend back is the best and you'll remember it for a long time! The look on his face when he saw me after weeks apart was priceless :D
I assume he'll be going into regiment phase on Monday?? x
Laura, im sure we'll bump into eachother sooner or later, haha my OH is going to be based in cosford after basic :D
xx
Hi girlies :)
Thank you for lovely welcome! He has just been home for his first weekend...fabulous ;) but didn't want him to go back! Still, he'll be back next weekend!!!
I've got a busy week at work to keep my mind off things like missing him and having no money lol and I have a lot of save the date cards still to make!!!!
What are all your chaps doing in the forces?xxx

Hiya hun,
My hubby is RAF too, he's based at Lyneham so we're here at the moment!
Sharon is right...it's a preference thing, you get to put down (i THINK it's 2/3) counties that you'd prefer and also a county you don't want. But, it's just preference...if they need him somewhere random, that's where they'll send him! But you can't get sent overseas unless you say you'd like to go.
Looking forward to seeing you around!
xxx
