right you will have to picture it in your head as ive not done one yet!

but for the table centre pieces i am thinking to save on flower costs to do glass bowls (fish ones) 8" with coloured sand and a candle (and maybe a few tea lights in there as well) on mirrored plates (either square or round im not sure on this one yet) with gerbera heads dotted around outside and maybe some scatter crystals????

what do you think?

i am going to buy the stuff to make up one so we can see and decide..... i think it will be hard to commit to an idea unless we actually see it and its hard to crah other peoples weddings just to eye up their table decorations  lol

they sound lovely hun. make one up and pop a pic on so we can have a look. a friend of mine had really tall glass candle holders and white "fluff", it sounds really tacky but was gorgeous i like the idea of glass and candles, different to flowers :)

i think you def have to try different things because you never know when something is just going to work!

I reckon if you are trying to keep costs down you could make it a bit simpler - how about bowls with sand as discussed and then in each three little chunky pillar candles in appropriate colours for your theme? I think this would be quite elegant - don't reckon you need gerberas and crystals as well and I also think they would mount the cost up. I think you can get coloured or pure white sand.
I did the table decs for my brother's wedding - each table had three little glass jamjars, each of which had a few sequins dotted round the base, and narrow ribbon tied round the neck, and a small cream candle inside. They were simple and pretty and not expensive at all.

Whatever you do yo should mock one up so you can see it irl before you order things.
