View Full Version : In the past 7 days......
I contacted the church, booked it, met with the vicar, booked the reception, booked the night venue, paid the deposit, booked the photographer and sorted the DJ, think I've found a band, sorted the buffet, ordered the wedding cake & have designed the place cards and invitations.......phew!!!!!!
Looks like my 5 years working as a PA are finally paying off ha ha ha!!!! :p
omg...ok in the next 7 days you can design my invites and places cards, adress them and send them out lol!!!

Ha ha ha!!!! Think it just comes with the territory (organising things day in day out gets you prepared for something like this)!!!
Get married at the beginning of August, so just under 5 months now :D decided a month ago to bite the bullet before he goes out to the sandpit again in September, so I thought I'd get my backside into 'planning' mode whilst he is out in Kenya!!!

28th april 2011 so still 413 days away but i have booked the hotel where we r getting married, and sorted the food out, and chose rings. i need to buy sum things for save the dates n then i can get started...its like uni, i just put it off xxx
Well I aim to get everything sorted before he comes back in 4 weeks time, that way, I will be able to sit back and not panic too much about things until about 2 weeks before the wedding lol!!
Sooooo, once I've got all of my stuff out of the way, and he is away in Afghan again, I will have loooooooooooooooooads of time on my hands, so if you need a wedding planner to help out with things, you know where to come!!!

same as us hun, we werent going to get married until after afghan but with him going in october we decided to bring it forward.... we only decided about a month ago and are getting married in august!
Wow that's awesome, I wish I was that organized!!
So far I have venue (deposit about to be paid), registrar (deposit paid), cake, catering and decorations sorted. We're getting hitched August 14th of this year - so probably a week or so after you!! :)
I was organsied until a few set backs :(. I have already made the place cards & table plan though just need to put the guests onto tables now, ordered the save the date cards but by the time i get them they will be pointless sending out!, still waiting for the invitations to come from the printer. I do have the DJ booked, florist booked, hairdresser booked, dress half paid for, bridesmaid dresses paid for and transport sorted
I guess looking im more organised than i thought

Oooooh!!! that's a few of us getting married in August then!!!! I'm getting hitched on Friday 6th :D
Ladies, we are allllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll organised, and lets face it, if it came down to our men organising it, we'd be waiting for the next millenium to come round before anything was sorted lol :p

lol im sure i shall be calling in your expertise!!! still trying to think of colour schemes n stuff! im so indecisive! xx
I pondered a bit on the colour scheme, but in the end, I decided to put the bridesmaids in black, with a sash round the waist, the same colour as the plume in his uniform (he's in the irish guards), so it's a lovely teal colour :-) plus OH is getting married in uniform, so that made the colours even easier to decide!!!

i had decided on black but its the other colour! you wud think for a design student id b sorted! bloody craig not gettin married in his uniform...i was thinking like a mustardy coloured yellow

You have to go with your gut instinct babes, you normally find that the first choice you make is normally the right one!!!
I think it looks great, and if it will suit the people you have in mind to wear them, then I say go for it!!! xxxx
