Bargain wedding dresses

My oh's mum was looking at wedding dresses yday on ebay. I was a bit like, arent they second hand?!:confused: But they are like £100 and some are gorge. They are brand new,Im thinkin of this one: tbh im not bothered how much i pay as long as im happy

These are from china and there's a lot of horror stories circling around that.. Mainly that they come in the wrong size (okay not so much of an issue as you can get that altered) and come in really crap quality. Might be okay for BM dresses but I'd steer away from it for your wedding dress :S

Although that second one is an alfred angelo (I think) and should be pretty reasonable, I've been eyeing up a reeeally princessy dress by them that I thought should cost thousands but is only going to cost about £360 :)

I'd go to a shop tbh hun but you have to allow them time to order them in, make alterations etc and if you're getting married soon you need to be really fast about it! I'd say go this week! :eek:

Yeah it's alfred angelo and the pricemark is under £1k at the mo.. Have a look at dress shops in the area and ring up telling them the dress (alfred angelo 1136) and ask if they stock it and the price :) Always worth paying a bit more for quality - you can sell it on ebay after anyway!

I dont no much about wedding dresses hehe but id like too :P

I think if you dont have a big budget and u see one u like then go for it but like i said chick be careful and get a second opinion.x.

My friend used a site called landy bridal or something like that :rolleyes:
We went round a few dress shops so she got and idea of what she liked first then ordered a similar one from there. She had to give all her mearsurement details chose colour etc. It cost about £150 i think, and it was great.
They come from China and hers took about 8 weeks to arrive, and they constantly updated her on progress etc. She chose a fairly simple design, and allowed herself time if it had to be altered, but it fit perfectly!
If your tight on time, maybe its not the best idea, but just a thought.

i know a wag has bought a bridemaid dress of here before, and she said it was brilliant. she said the dress was stunning and was a perfect fit. so you never know it could be great but just go in with caution hun. i spent quite a bit on my wedding dress and it was worth the money, but if you can get a stunning dress for a fraction of the price go for it!! xx
