Well my copy just arrived today and I'm settling down for a weekend of reading (& crying from what I've heard)...
I'll be back when I've got something to say about it...

I doubt it will take you the weekeldnt pund to read! It gets addictive and i couldnt put it down til i was done!!!!

yup i read it a couple weeks ago, kind of a joke present from nate when he went back after R&R (i didnt see the funny side lol)

Ive just finished it today hun. Was good just wanna see the film now coz the girls have been saying its not as good, but Channing Tatum is in it so i just have to go see!! Lol Hope you like it! x
Hopefully get to see a better copy of the film when it comes out on 14th...would be good if we could all go together.haha...can see it now...all of us walking out crying our eyes out haha :( x x

lol - we'd all make quite a sight to look at wouldn't we!!!
I'm really enjoying it so far. No tears yet but I kept getting interrupted so only managed to get about a quarter of the way through it today. Took a little piccy to sum up my day though... it's been tough! lol :)

I liked the book, but thought it was sad from the very beggining. Although the book had more depth and detail, i prefered the film- just the way it was shot and the storyline between the two seemed nicer than the book.
Although the relationship with his dad was nicer in the book.

I finished the book a couple of weeks ago. It was an easy read but I have to say I was kinda disappointed. Not much seemed to happen and I don't understand all the decisions the characters made tbh, but I'm looking forward to the film no less. Oh and I thought the relationship between him and his father was interesting, actually found that sadder than the main plot lol!!
But yeah like Suzie if anyone wants me to send on my copy to them I'm happy too, it's only crowding my room xxx

ive heard mixed reviews about the book but i dont know anyone that disliked the film!
But im not going to watch the film until i have read the book ..... Roll on payday! X
went to see Dear John last night having already read the book! tbh I always prefer the book and this one was no diff!
I enjoyed the film, esp due to the eye candy, however they can never bring across the same emotion in the film! cried at the book was totally dry eyed at the cinema (thank god!!!)
worth watching tho :)

Completely agree with Gem! I had a little cry at the film, but nothing like the book. The book is absolutely brilliant and really emotional, the film just cannot fit it all in.
I think the film is MORE sad for girls who have done/doing a tour... because I found the bits that made me cry where the saying goodbye at the airports, and writing letter parts, because it reminded me of when OH was away.
But then, I know civvie girls who cried like a baby at it so I suppose it depends how much of a sensitive soul you are!
i havent read the book but may have to get it. i went to watch the film but it wasnt as good as i expected. must confess i was crying at some of the goodbye scenes but i think that was probably more down to my own experiences.
just ordered the book!!! finally gave in, i knew i wouldnt be able to resist for long!

this has made me want to read the book alot,
i watched the film and i was so dissapointed with the ending, i absolutely refuse to watch it again. apart from channing tatum-yum.
but reading this is sounds like the book is alot better?
i think i am going to invest in a copy.

Well I'm finally into the book again & having trouble putting it down. I've just finished part 1 & am crying away. lol I'm really liking it so far!
That's part 2 finished. Hehe, I can't put it down. :)
I wanna get the book. I was disappointed with the film after all the hype it got, but most the time I prefer the book to the film (Mask, Marley and me, and especially Ps I love you!) x
Definitely get it hun. I've just finished... took me longer than it should have because I couldn't read through my tears! lol I really enjoyed it.
