What did you start with once you booked the venue? Went to look @ bridesmaid stuff yday and on saturday gunna take them with me to find dresses.

[FONT="Century Gothic"][FONT]Hey Hun, once the Ceremony & Reception were booked i started with my dress and worked the Bridesmaids based on what i am wearing. Also started with choosing colour scheme and a theme, then they type of flowers i wanted and everything else just seems to fit around that!

I am going to have cream and gold theme. And gold colour for older bridesmaids and cream and gold for younger x

I think it was food, cake, music and THEN onto me :( lol

i got my dress before i even booked the venue lol. but yeah booked the venue, registrar, flowers, sorted out food, dj, photographer, the b/m dresses and accessories for b/m and me, urm cake, decorations (for tables, inc. centre pieces etc), oh and guest list, invites, cant remember what else now lol.

didnt bother doing the seating plan until we had all the RSVP's.

dont forget to think about songs for the first dance etc. and favours and gifts for the bridal party if you're doing them.

i'd say concentrate on the things you need to book first, like dj's, photographer etc. once they're booked you can relax coz it can be tricky getting them for the dates you want sometimes especially if its not that far off. over the summer some of them get booked up years in advance. xx

after the venue and ceromony was booked we got our food, flowers, decorations, dj, chair covers etc with the venue as it was all in one place, we just ticked off what we wanted and the colours talked about what we wanted it to be like and they sorted that out for us which was great to have sorted early on.

then it was meeeeeeeeeee! the car and the photog and every thing else. i loved all the planning and preparing, every thing fell into place and sometimes i thought god im never going to get all of it done in time but it did and i had plenty of time left.

you can get a list on the net that helps you, it tells you what should be done first and all the things you need to do, it was good to have a quick look at before we started planning it all

i sat down and wrote everything out and budgeted and thought of what things were likely to get booked up first like cars (they're meant to be booked 9 months in advance) and the dress obviously lol

I've done my dress first lol, havent even booked the venue yet!!! Bt some dresses can take upto 5 months to be made so if you're not getting one off the rack I'd get cracking on that if I were you. I ordered mine last month and it should be ready by June I think bt was told August orginally!

But getting the venue booked is def our next step. And uve just reminded me of sumit so I'll be starting another wedding thread in a sec lol xxx
