Hello,
found out this morning that OH is getting sent to afghan in january, im quite upset because im due to have out first baby the 6th january and im gutted he will miss the first 6 months of our babys life and possibly the birth too! :(
ohhh hunni ((((Big Hugs)))) I bet OH is gutted as well. The forces life really does suck sometimes - Sorry nothing constructive to say just didnt want to read and run. xx

Can he not speak to one of his superiors and see if they can change his dates or something?
If they can't, i'm sure he'll be as gutted as you :( Just keep yourself busy with sending him lots of pics of the baby and keeping him positive for his return *big hugs* xxx

he will be even more gutted than u not being able to be there.
*fingers crossed* he will be there for the birth and at least you'll hae the little one to keep you busy while he is gone xx

Do you think he could change? He only joined up last august and I dont think he was expecting to go just yet, I think they have pulled the date forward or something.... I just seem to be getting tons of bad luck at the moment i feel so down, my hormones arent helping either - i cant stop snivveling :( xx
talk to your midwife , once he knows what date he going they might start you off before oh goes and he will be there for the birth. it has been done before under the circumstances
awww hun that sucks completely.. ur hormones are bound to be all over the place seeing as ur pregnant..lol...but i hope they maybe are able to change the dates so he is there with u. I dont have any thing really constructive to say.. sorry.... but if it makes u feel better i can be ur countdown buddy...mine also goes in january...grrrrrr!!!! congrats on the pregnancy tho hun.xx

Thanks for that :D could prove very useful, once he has been told his date i will speak to midwife... you never know, we could get lucky with the dates - he might not get sent until the end of the month anyway and that would give us about 3 weeks together :)

Oh that is truly crap, I feel for you hun! Fingers crossed they can sort you out with the dates and induce you early, or that he is able to put it off, or that he leaves after bubba is born! Whatever we're here for you hun xx

Awww thats rubbish hun, i dont have anything constructive to say really either except that I can sympathise, I've just done 6 months without hubbi whule expecting...fortunately bubz has decided to stay put until daddy got home!
I have to say though, I know it does vary from regiment to regiment but my hubbis is VERY good when it comes to expectant wives.....there were other wives pregnant from same bty and they sent one man home early to be there before his wives due date and another they shuffled his RnR round so he could make it for a scan so they are quite understanding.
Once you have your dates you'll be able to try to get organised, good luck hun and I wish you a happy n healthy pregnancy xxxx
I am sure you will have lots of help and support from your family, how far gone are you?
I also didn't want to read and run... Hope you manage to get dates organised to it all works out how you want it to!
