Yup me again sorry....
Has anyone here ordered a cake topper for their wedding or had one before? I would like one of me and OH in his blues- perhaps holding a baby! I've been looking around and have seen prices around £70- what did you pay? Can anybody reccomend a good company? Also...were they made from icing or clay? Ta! x
THis is going to be useless in terms of helping BUT
My auntie got ours, they were made of icing and were of hubby in his no. ones and me with my dress. She got them from a complany in the covered market in Oxford and I have no idea what she paid.
Sorry that was totally useless. But they were very cute and they can do anything you want!

haha thanks claire, well you were happy with it so that's helpful! I assumed they were all icing but I've found some with clay that can be kept so loving that idea. Can icing keep? xxx

I've kept ours, I wrapped them in some really think kitchen towel and clingfilm and put them in a box. I think it does keep. Just can't eat it hahaha

i've seen those clay ones, they look awesome. we didnt get them though in the end and just went for a pretty cake topper that went with the cake. xx
Stace they are very easy to make! polymer is what they use.
I got mine made by a friend in jersey and she then shipped it over. she needed photos of my dress etc . xx

Lol I don't think I'll attempt making one, seriously I have the creativity skills of a gold fish, I swear I don't even have a left side to my brain!
I just got a quote from one company and it was £179 for the whole thing :eek: I've emailed round a few different companies. But I begrudge paying over £100!!!!!! xxx

Would you like me to ask my friend? i shouldnt think she would be that much! theres also a person on ebay who makes the for 50 quid i think xxx

hun we got ours from ebay and they are clay ones i believe, but its just a brunette for me and a blonde for james, nothing really personalised. Sorry xx

Woooo I won the bid thanks Kirsty :) unfortunately it went up to £52.99 (I said to myself I wouldnt go over £50 but I got excited in the last minute lol) I spoke to the woman beforehand and she was lovely, they're made from clay so permanent and a baby will only cost £5 extra and she'll mimic my dress too (and the Blues of course) plus I've asked if she'll put our names on the base :) So much cheaper than all the other ones I was quoted and they look really good quality. Thanks again :) xxx

Oh they're cool. The groom will be in marine blues, the bride will be wearin an imitation of my dress n flowers and the groom will be holding a 3 month old baby! And our names and wedding date will b put on the base :) wat r u gna do?xxx
