11 Days to go...........

and i'm so stressed out :-(.

We have £700 to find by next Tuesday to pay for the kids suits/shoes, the wine & corkage, the final balance on the venue and the hotel, DJ and Piper, i have £340 i think but no doubt i will have to use some of that to pay some bill or another.

The venue has JUST rang me today after saying they would e-mail me nearly 3 weeks ago with the final invoice.

I'm off work today i just feel so rough, i nearly passed out at my sons school and a teacher and the nursery nurse (first aider) had to take me home, the teacher had to drive my car! as i was double parked so she didn't want me to get a ticket. My Boss is pissed off even though this is only my 2nd sick day in 7 months! he was shirty on the phone to my Mother so i'm dreading going back 2moro, my job ends on the 16th of July and i'm really struggling to find another job by the end of July.

The Washing Machine keeps breaking down, the oven on our cooker has broken! so i can only cook in the microwave, the grill or on the hob.
I have to go and do my youngest bridesmaids make up on Thursday for her Prom but they live 25 mins away and i just can't afford the petrol and i know they're struggling for her Prom anyway so i can't even ask for the petrol money.

Then theres all the standard bills, im behind on the rent the council tax is going to be late cos OH isn't home till Friday and it needs paid BY Friday morning!

I had budgeted so carefully and had money to spare after bills and wedding but i am literally skint now and have no idea where we are going to get the rest of the money from :-( and to make matters worse i've had a run in with a Bailiff for my council tax from 2008 when i lost my job!

My ex is pissing me off and stressing me out which really isn't helping cos my OH wants to throttle him!! so i have the great joy of trying to keep them from bumping into eachother, my Maid of Honour is making things awkward becos she had a fling with a friend of my OH's and shes with someone who she plans on bringing to the wedding so i have the worry of a kick off between him and the lad she slept with!

I just want to SCREAM!!!

oh dear sweetie. sounds like you've got a lot on your plate atm. especially with the wedding just days away. first things first...........RELAX!!!! i know its difficult especially with all thats going on but stressing yourself out is gonna make things worse. if you relax you can think things through clearer.

right now firstly, the biggest issue, money side of things. have you got a close friend of family member who could give you a little bit of a loan? just to help out? if not, why not try speaking to ur bank just for a little bit of help. maybe a temporary increase in ur overdraft and work out a plan so the overdraft reduces by a certain amount each month as of next month?

secondly...make a list of everything you've gotta pay for, then put them in order of priority. do the most important things first and work your way down.

try not to panic hun, also, if you're doing your friends make up and it's that far away just be honest hun and ask if either someone can pick you up or would they mind giving you a bit for petrol money as its out of you're way and you've got so much other stuff to pay for?

dont feel bad for being off sick either, just forget about them. my supervisor makes me feel guitly whenever i'm off sick but just forget about it hun. you cant help it if you're not well. hope ur ok, and hope you get everything sorted and feel better soon xxx

Thanks for everything, Emzy i will be taking all the advice you have given me. I just wish OH was more helpful, he's out spending money on nights out at work while i'm sat struggling to pay bills and the wedding stuff (he has paid money towards it though) just wish he would help out a bit more. And now to top it all off hes not speaking to me AGAIN! we go through this every night and tbh im pretty much getting sick of his childish moods

no problem hun. i went through exactly the same with my oh. even though he was earning more money and had less outgoings we were both putting the same amount towards the wedding every month, and some months he even couldnt pay it!! i was furious with him as the month before the wedding he couldnt pay it and i needed that money plus more. so i ended up getting a credit card to pay some of it off and the wedding party gifts i bought from Argos on my Argos card otherwise i wouldnt have been able to get anything.

think it's just a man thing. hope you manage to get it sorted though hun xx

I think it is a man thing hun. I've managed to get a loan for £150 just one of those payday advances and its only £45 on top of the £150 and i pay it over 2 payments which works better for me.
The only gifts i haven't got are for the witnesses and the Dad's but i will get something for them after the wedding. My Maid of Honour is paying for our hotel as our wedding present/my birthday pressie as its my birthday 4 days before the wedding so thats £150 less i have to find, we're scrapping the arrivals drinks wine saving another £100 as the bar will be open anyway so there is just left to find the £100 i owe to the venue, the £35 i had to borrow from my Dads money for my Carriage and then my Nails, beauty, tan etc money which is ££73 for the lot and then the kids' suits i already have that money put aside so i think we will do it, cos OH will be told on Friday that HE can pay for the DJ on the night in cash £120 and he wanted the piper so he can pay that as well £90

Bloody hell, sounds very stressful, but glad you've managed to sort it out now.

I quite like the fantasy of getting married, but not sure i'd like the stress and worry that comes with it now you've posted this thread ;)

if i were to do it again i'd do it abroad somewhere and get one of those packages. i think it'd make things so much easier lol and they often work out cheaper too.

but i'm glad i had the wedding i had. it was a once in a lifetime thing that i'll never forget. it's defo worth all the stress :) xx
