Just to warn you all there will probs be lots of wedding threads from me over the next 3 weeks coz I'm trying to get as much wedding stuff sorted while OH is on leave and before baby is here lol!!!!!!!

So invitations- I just want something cheap and simple....had a quick look online, anybody had their invitations done with an online site? Who did you go for and what did you pay (if you don't mind me asking) I will need about 80 and would like somekind of snowflake theme on them.

Also hoping to put somekind of baby announcement in them as well, I'm not very artistic so would like to order them really- again something simple, only one piece of card really to put inside the invitation....if that makes sense...any ideas? xxx

if you do like any in confetti, I have a 25% off code in my you and your wedding mag that you can use - think its only with online orders though - not sure? It doesn't end til October either.

Let me know and Ill look what it is for you if you do go for confetti.

think im going to get one of the make your own packs from M&S as OH's aunty gave us vouchers for there in our engagement card. They are much cheaper and pretty much all the artistic work is already done or you can add more if you want to, you get a cd with it with the templates on to print from.

Re the baby note to go in them, what about just printing what you want to say on plain paper and then gluing it to a nice piece of coloured card so the border is the coloured card? this is what the little notes with hotel info/gift info are usually like and put inside the invites. thats what im going to do with local hotel info for our guests.

To be honest we didn't look at how much it would cost to have them printed. We had approx 80-90 guests so in all used about 35-40 invitations. They were £5 for a box of 10. the paper & card for the inserts was from the papermill I think where you could fill a box for £5. We also got matching RSVP & Thankyou cards which were £3 a pack (for 10) if I remember rightly. It cost under £50 with the cost of ink on top. x x

Thanks Becks that's a great idea about the baby announcement- even I should be able to manage that with my uncreative eye!!

Are these M&S packs easy to do???

I found some great ones on Zazzle that work out like 50p an invite, the only prob is they don't leave a space to write the name of recipients at the top it's just a general "s and J invite you to..." etc and obviously it's good to state who in the actual household is invited lol xxx

i made my invitations. wasnt really that difficult either and i got them to fit in with our theme too. you can get packs from hobby craft and places like that really cheap and i used some sticky bows with diamontees on them. they came out quite good. i think they only cost me about £20-30 altogether. xxx

I got quotes today from local printing companies- looks like it's gonna cost about £150 for Order of Services and Invitations, more than I wanted to spend :(
